Walking by Faith, Not By Sight

Rosh Hashanah has come and gone. There was no rapture during the feast this year. Yes, I would have preferred that the Lord would have taken us home. But it didn't happen. So what should we make of this?

Although God has revealed much knowledge and wisdom to us, our knowledge is still incomplete. What we do know is God's ways and timing are always perfect and right. Therefore, there is a good reason to wait patiently on Him in His perfect timing.

I am convinced that the time is near and I should always be alert and ready for Him. But I'm also convinced He wants me to faithfully continue the work He has assigned me to do. There's no reason to slow down or lose our zeal for serving Him.

I will continue to pray that God grants me the wisdom to know as much about the times we are in and the end of this age as He would like me to know. I will also actively seek to know and understand the times in which we are living. I believe this is God's will for all of us.

I also hope to continue to nudge my "sleepy" Christian friends and family to awaken and be watchful and to seek God's kingdom and His righteousness while we continue to live in this time of God's grace.

It has indeed been my pleasure to present my thoughts and observations over the past 40 days. It has helped me to crystalize my own thinking and remain focused on what matters to God. I never thought I would blog concerning the possible timing of the Lord's return. However, 41 days ago, I was sitting on my couch overwhelmed by the various signs that independently seemed to be pointing to the same conclusion, that this could be the year of the Lord's return. I also believed that with knowledge comes a responsibility to share. Finally, I wanted to give my loved ones an opportunity to decide for themselves what to believe once they considered these recorded thoughts and observations.

I don't know if I'll ever have the opportunity to share with people from around the nation and world like I have on this blog. Thank you for coming to the site. My hope is to get to meet you in Heaven someday so we can worship our Lord together. God bless you in the days ahead, not matter how many or how few!

So for now, farewell.

The Riches of Our Glorious Inheritance

We're now in the midst of the two-day feast of Rosh Hashanah. Are you anxiously awaiting the Lord's return too? Let's take some time to consider the joy ahead.

"For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." (2 Corinthians 5:1-10)

Ephesians 1 states that we have been blessed by God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, with every spiritual blessing, which Paul then goes on to enumerate the following:
1) Chosen in Christ to be holy and blameless in His sight
2) Predestined to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ
3) Redeemed (i.e. purchased from a life of sin, destined for eternal death) through Christ's blood
4) Forgiveness of sins
5) Made known to us the mystery of His will (to bring all things together in heaven and earth together under one head, Jesus Christ)
6) Having believed the gospel of our salvation, we were marked in Christ with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance

In 2 Peter 1, the Apostle Peter tells us to make every effort to add to our faith the virtues of goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverence, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. He says that if do, we will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Who doesn't want to hear those words from our Lord, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!"

We are told over and over in Scripture that we are saved by God's grace. That means we don't deserve to be saved. We didn't do anything for our salvation other than to receive it freely, and we wouldn't have done that if the Holy Spirit hadn't regenerated our heart. Salvation is from God from beginning to end.

We come empty-handed and with nothing to offer God. This faith principle reminds me of the team building exercise where someone is told to close their eyes and fall backwards because there is someone to catch us. We will only allow ourselves to fall if we believe that we will be safely caught. Likewise, we will only accept the message of salvation if we trust it to be true and believe God's promise. There's no other way. We can't have both grace and works, otherwise it becomes a works-based assurance. God will have none of that. Good works matter only because they are the byproduct and evidence of a true faith, a faith given to us from above.

When we get to Heaven, we will know that the only reason we're there is because God was gracious and merciful to us. He made us alive in Christ even when we were spiritually dead in our sins and trespasses. All credit goes to God for my salvation. My praise will be heart-felt because I owe it all to Him.

Will I be disappointed if Christ does not return this year? Of course! But it will only mean there's more work yet to be done to advance the Kingdom of God on this earth. There are more souls to save. I know my Redeemer lives, and I know it won't be long before I will be with Him eternally. I praise you, Father, for the perfect hope You have given me in Jesus Christ, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Join me in reflecting over the richness of God's grace towards us as we patiently wait for the Lord's return.

One Final Plea

So Rosh Hashanah began around sunset today, September 28, and will end around sunset on September 30 for those who celebrate a two-day feast. Over the last 40 days, I have provided nearly 40 signs that indicate the Lord's return is near, and that He may return during Rosh Hashanah (the Feast of Trumpets) this year.

Truth can be bitter sweet. For those who are ready and waiting to meet the Lord when He returns, His coming for us and calling us home will be ever so sweet. But, we probably all have loved ones we fear aren't ready for Him to come now or believe everything will go on just as it always has seemed to be. Peter had a message for them.

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. (2 Peter 3:3-7)

Probably the most frequent comment I've received from Christian friends and family is that Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour. Of course, that is true, and because it's true, Jesus' point was that we should be all the more watchful.

“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

My hope for each reader is that they will be aware that the times are short and we should therefore be diligent about our Lord's business. We should encourage one another with the great promise that the Lord will come back soon for His people. He could come at any time.

This is not a time to be lukewarm about our relationship with Jesus Christ. He warned us, "

“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3:14-22)

Instead, come near to the Lord and He will come near to you. May your earnest prayer be the prayer found in Luke 21:34-36,

“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

If I'm still here tomorrow evening, I plan to write about our great inheritance stored up for us in Heaven. If not, I hope to see your there!

Left Behind - Your Choices Matter

If you are left behind to remain on the earth after the rapture of God's people, you will be faced with a choice. It will be the most important choice you can make. The second beast, called the False Prophet, will give breath to the image of the first beast, the Antichrist. The image of the beast will be able to speak and kill anyone refusing to worship the image. It will also force people to receive a mark on their right hands or foreheads, which is the name of the beast or number of its name (666). Without the mark, you will not be able to buy or sell anything.

The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. (Revelation 13:15-17)

By receiving the mark and worshiping the beast, you are sealing your eternal doom.

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” (Revelation 14:9-11)

Not only will you spend eternity in the lake of fire if you choose to take the mark and worship the beast but God will rain down judgments while you are alive on earth. For example, "The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image." (Revelation 16:2)

God warns us ahead of time what will be the destiny of the two beasts.

"But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur."

But God has wonderful blessings planned for those who refuse to take the mark and worship the beast. Most likely, they will have to pay for their decision with their life. But because they loved God more than their lives, they will come back to life and reign.

I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The choice is up to you. Choose wisely!

Left Behind - The Course Ahead

The Book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible, reveals all that must take place between the rapture and the return of Christ. God is accomplishing His purposes throughout this time frame. First, the announcement of the coming Kingdom of God will go to the ends of the earth, and the times of the Gentiles will be completed. Secondly, the Kingdom of man will be completed; it will be destroyed and replaced by the Kingdom of the Lord. Thirdly, the Jews will be tested and judged, and all Israel will be saved. Finally, the nations will be tested and judged based on whether or not they served God’s people.

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Matthew 25:31-46)

A political leader (Antichrist) will emerge from among the ten kings. As the rider of the White Horse (Rev.6:1-2), he will initially come powerfully, but in "peace". Not long afterwards, he is seen as the rider of the Red Horse, which depicts bloodshed and war. He will be given power to rule the world after he assumes power over three of the ten kings. As a result of great war, he will bring famine (Black Horse) and ultimately death (Pale Horse). In Scripture, he is known as the beast. The beast will be aided by a second beast, the false prophet, who is a counterfeit of the Holy Spirit. The dragon, who is Satan, gives the beast and the false prophet their supernatural powers.

The beast (world leader) will enter into a “covenant with many” for a period of seven years. In the first 3 1/2 years, he will allow the "harlot" described in Revelation 17 to lead a one-world religion. However, by the mid-point of the tribulation, he will hate her and bring her to ruin. In the middle of the seven years, he will stop the Jews sacrifices and offerings. In its place, he will set up an “abominations that causes desolation” until his end at the end of the seven years. (Daniel 9:27)

This is the about the time that Satan is thrown out of Heaven. Knowing his time is short, he will be enraged and determined to exterminate the Jews. So he will enter into the beast to pursue the Jews. God will protect the Jews from the Satan’s wrath. So Satan will turn and pursue those who hold to the testimony of Jesus.

There will be 144,000 servants of God with seals on their foreheads, which represent the faithful from all the tribes of Israel. With the seal of God on their forehead, they will be protected by the judgments of God on the world.

The Bible also speaks of Two Witnesses sent by God to speak to the people of the world about the coming of Christ. It appears that these powerful Witnesses will be Elijah and Moses. After they finish their task, they will be killed, left unburied in the streets of the city of Jerusalem for 3 1/2 days, and will rise after this and ascend to Heaven.

Throughout this whole seven year tribulation period, God will bring natural disasters of every kind to inflict judgment on the world. But even with all the calamity, the hearts of the people will continue to harden and they will not turn to God for help.

A great many people will die during this time. At the end of the seven years, he will come to his end. “At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushites in submission. But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many. He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him. (Daniel 11:40-45)

His end is described in Revelation as the world's armies seek to wage war against Christ.,

"Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh." (Revelation 19:19-21)

If you are left behind at the rapture, do not go along with the world leader. He will only be in power just a little while. Listen to the Two Witnesses and the 144,000 faithful. There message will lead to eternal life. You must be willing to give up your earthly life to gain spiritual life. Stay true to God, not man.

Left Behind – What Really Happened?

The next three blog entries are meant to be read by anyone left behind after a great number of people were whisked away. I will explain what really happened based on Bible prophecy, what’s ahead, and what that means for you.

If you are reading this after so many people suddenly disappeared, I would imagine there is great panic everywhere. People were taken away in the “twinkling of an eye”. The chaos must be tremendous as people were taken away no matter what they were doing at the time. You are most likely in a great deal of pain and confusion since you are probably missing family members and friends. So the big question everybody is asking is what just happened and why.

The Bible has one answer, but those in power will have a quite different explanation. God told us ahead of time what will happen at the end of the age. I will describe what just happened according to the Bible. The Lord Jesus Christ descended to the clouds and gathered committed Christians to join Him in Heaven. Those who had previously died with faith in Christ were resurrected from the grave. Their bodies were glorified (made perfect) and once more joined their previously disembodied spirits that were waiting for this day from the time they had died and their spirits went to be with the Lord. Once this was complete, those who were still alive and believed in Jesus Christ had their mortal bodies instantly changed into immortal bodies. They too ascended to be with Jesus Christ in Heaven.

"For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17)

Once in Heaven, these saints will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ for the purposes of receiving rewards based on their faithfulness to Him during their life on earth. Once the Bride of Christ (all believers) has been prepared, the Marriage of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) will take place. (Revelation 19:7-9)

Now, the reason those in powerful positions on earth will give for the disappearance of so many people will fit into their global government and world religion goals. There will be very persuasive explanations, probably accompanied with various signs. It’s fairly likely that people will be told that the people who disappeared had to be removed in order that mankind and the world could leap forward in their evolutionary development. These people were resistant to change and their negative karma was preventing the positive development that the world was destined to undergo.

"At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time." (Matthew 24:23-25)

Sometime soon, the public appearance of “friendly” aliens that claim to be from distant constellations will probably occur. If they do, they are really demons masquerading as aliens. They are doing the work of Satan (Lucifer – the dragon of Revelation). They will likely say they have been “guiding” the human race throughout history, and now it’s time to take the next evolutionary jump. The message will be very convincing.

There are plans in the works to use man-generated (HAARP-induced) earthquakes in key spots that will lead to archeological “discoveries” that attempt to “prove” the ancient religions corrupted the truth through time. The similarity of the end-times doctrine of all the major world’s religions will lead the new world political leader to claim to personally be the fulfillment of all these scriptures. It will probably be argued that religious divisions and intolerance were the reason for wars and murders. Therefore, there must only be one worldwide religion, which will probably be led by the Pope.

Technological advances in such fields as holographic projection, weather manipulation, and mind control will help those in power sell their propaganda to the world population. Control of the population will also be facilitated through RFID chips biologically implanted in the whole population. It will be impossible to buy or sell without the chip.

It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name." This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666."

Those in power will work hard to persuade the world that everything is alright. They will convincingly sell their ideas which will lead to a concentration of power in the hands of a few. Don’t be fooled. It’s all a ruse. There is still eternal hope for you if you choose not to join or cooperate with them. Under no circumstances should you accept the mark, even if it means martyrdom for you. I'll discuss this topic more in a later blog entry. In my next blog entry, I intend to provide a Biblical overview of what to expect as long as the world political and religious figures are in power.

Now Fear the Lord and Serve Him

Joshua led the Israelites into the promised land after Moses took them through the desert over those 40 long years. The Lord fought for Israel and drove out the powerful nations so Israel could possess a land He had promised for them, which they did not toil and cities that they did not build. Near the end of Joshua's life, he recounted the Lord's faithfulness to them and warned them to be strong and careful to obey God's law. He told them that if violate the covenant, they would quickly perish from the land He had given them. He concluded by saying,

"Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:14-15)

Now is the hour of decision. Today is the day of your salvation. If you do not choose to follow Christ, you have in effect chosen to reject Christ.

"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son." (John 3:18)

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them." (John 3:36)

The great and glorious hope of the Christian is when the Lord returns to first resurrect the dead in Christ and then gather them who are still alive in Christ. This will be the time when we are "glorified" and receive our immortal bodies.

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-16)

If you have not committed your life to Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you will be left behind when the Lord returns. Jesus warned the people of our time,

"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)

God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, gave the ultimate sign of His approval of Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross by raising Him from the dead on the third day in accordance with Scripture. (See 1 Corinthians 15). God also delayed the ascension of Christ into Heaven for a little while so there would be plenty of eye-witness testimonies of Jesus' resurrection from the dead.

The writer of Hebrews, asked a rhetorical question that should be asked now. "how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? ..." (Hebrews 2:3)

There are five days left to Rosh Hashanah. Be ready, alert, and prepared!

The Righteous Shall Live By Faith

If Jesus Christ is our sin substitute, how do we apply His benefits to our own lives? In other words, how must we be saved? The Bible is clear that the way to our Heavenly Father is through the Son. Jesus pointed people to Himself. He said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life". The gospel of John records Jesus making seven "I AM" statements.

I AM the bread of life.
John 6:35: Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
John 6:48: I am the bread of life.
I AM the light of the world.
John 8:12: When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 9:5: While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
I AM the door.
John 10:7: Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep."
I AM the good shepherd.
John 10:11-14: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me...."
I AM the resurrection and the life.
John 11:25: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies."
I AM the way, the truth and the life. John 14:6: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
I AM the true vine.
John 15:1, 5: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

Jesus claimed He was in the Father and the Father was in Him. He told Phillip to believe Him, or at least believe in the miracles he had done because, as Nichodemus acknowledged, nobody could perform the miracles He performed unless the Father was with Him. He healed the sick, cast out unclean spirits, calmed the storm, walked on water, fed the multitudes, raised the dead, and more.

"Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves." (John 14:11)

The Apostle Paul tells us how we are saved.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

In Romans 10:9-13, He describes how we receive Jesus as our Savior and Lord.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 6:29 says "Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

Jesus wants us to turn away from our old way of living, to gratify our own sinful desire, and turn to Him for a new life lived in the Spirit. We can't do this in our own power so when we do this, God gives us the Holy Spirit to indwell us and empower us to live the kind of life God created us to live.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. (John 1:12-13)

Salvation is completely the Lord's work. All we can and must do is receive it as a gift. There is no room for pride or boasting for those who follow the Lord. Since God has done for me everything that I could not do for myself, I will always have a debt of love towards Him that I will never be able to fully repay.

If you haven't turned your life over to Jesus, let me encourage you to settle your eternal destiny today. If you know you have a sin problem separating you from God, it's time to deal with your guilt. Be reconciled to God and He will wash your sins away and remove them from you as far as the East is from the West. Wouldn't it be a wonderful to have the burden of guilt lifted off your shoulders? You've carried it around much too long. In his book Christian Basics, John Stott suggests that you take four steps, which begin with the letter A, B, C, and D.

A stands for "Admit".
Admit that you are sinner and need a Savior. This can be the most difficult step because it attacks our pride and can be humiliating, but admitting your need for a Savior is absolutely necessary.

B stands for "Believe".
Believe that Jesus Christ is the very Savior you admitted you need. The price He paid for your release was nothing less than the sacrifice of His own life.

C stands for "Consider".
Consider that Jesus Christ wants to be your Lord as well as your Savior. You can't take the one without the other. He offers us salvation (forgiveness and the gift of the Holy Spirit); He demands our thoughtful and total allegience. You must agree to follow Him, to love him, and to obey him. If you don't agree to put Him first, you cannot belong to Him. He warns his would-be followers to count the cost of being his disciple.

D stands for "Do".
Do make following Him a personal commitment. Make the decision to follow Christ a personal decision you make. Ask Him to save and forgive you. Commit your whole life to Him. Accept that he has forgiven you. Determine to fall in love with Him more every day. Know you are His, and as a member of His family you have both rights and responsibilities. Don't just believe the facts about Christ, choose get personal and know the real Christ.

If you sincerely followed these four steps, you are now forever united to Jesus Christ. Don't allow Satan to rob you of your assurance of salvation (John 6:37-40, John 10:27-30, Romans 8:28-39). Unite with a fellowship of other believers in Christ to build each other up in the faith, which will grow over time. Your growth process may seem slower than you like, but know that God will finish what he has started in you (Philippians 1:6). Be sure to read your Bible and pray regularly. The Bible is entirely trustworthy and should be a very close companion (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Look for some mature Christians of the same sex to help you along this new path. Satan will put up a fight to keep you from being effective and productive, but you should know that Satan has been defeated at the cross and you should be prepared for the fight (read Ephesians 6:10-18). Although the presence of sin remains until we reach Heaven, the ultimate dominion of sin over the life of the Christian has been broken (Romans 6:6-7 and 6:11-14).

By His Wounds We Are Healed

Jesus Christ is our sin substitute, our mediator between man and God. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 says, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people."

Jesus was the only person throughout history that was fully man and fully God. He was born of the virgin Mary, who was impregnated by the power of the Holy Spirit. Before His birth He was equal with God. But, God sent Him down to earth to take on the form of a man, to become our sin substitute. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) Philippians 2:6-11 speaks about the work of Jesus Christ,...

Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

So why did Jesus have to be obedient to death on a cross? First of all, for someone to be qualified to take upon himself the penalty owed to us, he would have to be without sin. Otherwise, his death would be the due penalty for his own sin. Because, Jesus, the Son of God, is the radiance of God's glory and exact representation of his being (Hebrews 1:3), He was perfectly obedient to the Father and without sin.

Jesus would also have to be willing to take upon Himself the penalty of the sin of others. "For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2)

Jesus also had to be cursed by God, to take upon Himself the curse of our sin. Jesus was cursed by God (for our behalf) because he was crucified on a cross (pole). Deuteronomy 21:23 says, "anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse. Galatians 3:13 goes on to explain, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”

Jesus is called the Lamb of God. When the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt, Moses was called by God to display the His power through ten plagues, signs, and wonders, which would gain the release of Israel and demonstrate God's sovereignty over the "gods" of the Eqyptians. In the last plague, God promised the death of the firstborn male of every household, but passing over the households of every Israelite who had sacrificed a lamb and smeared the blood on the door posts. This "Passover" event has been celebrated as the first Festival of the Lord ever since. The Festival not only remembers what took place in Egypt, that typifies the world, but also looks forward to the time when God's ultimate Lamb, Jesus Christ, would be slain on the cross for the sins of the world.

When the Israelites were on their 40 year journey from Egypt where they had been slaves to the land God had promised them, they grew impatient and complained against Moses and God. So God sent venemous snakes among them. Then the people acknowledged their sin and asked Moses to pray for them. Moses prayed for them.

"The LORD said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived." (Numbers 21:8-9)

Jesus explained that what happened back in the desert typifies the work of Christ on the cross.

"Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” (John 3:14-15)

On the cross, Jesus paid the due penalty for the sin of everyone who places their faith in Him. There is a double exchange going on in the spiritual realm. My sin is placed on Jesus who bore my penalty, and His perfect righteousness is placed on me. I am acceptable to God who requires perfect holiness of me because His Son's perfect holiness is given to me as a free gift. All I can do is put my trust in God's promise of forgiveness and eternal life for those who believe in His Son.

Isaiah 53 portrays the work of the Suffering Servant, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

Christ - The Promised Seed

Because of our sin problem, we need a promise of grace from God. We need a substitute -- someone who is qualified to take upon Himself God's just punishment for our sins and reconcile us to Himself. The good news is that God is not only perfectly just but He loves us and has promised us a way out of our sin dilemma. The only thing he requires is that we believe and trust Him for our salvation. We must believe in the One, His Son, whom He has sent to be our substitute.

After Adam and Eve sinned, God delivered the judgment upon them and the serpent that Satan used to tempt Eve. As God spoke to Satan through the serpent, He said:

So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

So God said that one day the serpent (Satan) would strike His (Christ's) heal. In other words, Jesus would be wounded or crucified. But Christ would crush, or destroy, the work of Satan. "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work." (1 John 3:8b)

About 2,000 years later, Abraham was called by God from among all the nations of the world and was given the following promise:

“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:2-3)

The promise was passed down through Abraham's son, Isaac, and his grandson, Jacob, whose name God changed to Israel. Jacob had 12 sons, from which comes the 12 tribes of Israel. God chose to use the line of Jacob's son, Judah, through which Christ would come. Near the end of his life, Jacob gave each of his sons specific prophetic blessings. To Judah, he said "The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his." (Genesis 49:10)

Moses who lived about 1,500 years before Christ was born prophesied about the One who was to come. "The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him." (Deuteronomy 18:15)

King David, who lived about 1,000 years before Christ, was promised a royal line of descendents leading up to the promised Messiah (Christ). God said to David,

"The LORD declares to you that the LORD himself will establish a house for you: When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he will be my son..." (2 Samuel 7:11b-14a)

Not only did God foretell from which line of descendents the promised Christ would be born, he proved it by giving Christ's genealogical record. (See Matthew 1:1-16 and Luke 3:23-38).

In an earlier blog (see Proven Pinpoint Prophetic Accuracy on 8/29), I detailed the exact fulfillment of the time that Daniel had prophecied there would be 69 sevens (69 x 7 years) from the King's decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes. There can be no mistake that Jesus Christ is the promised One pictured all throughout the Old Testament.

The Old Testament also prophecies numerous specific details of the life of Jesus hundreds of years before He was born. For example, the prophet Micah said He would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:1-5), and Isaiah prophecied that He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14). Both of these came true just as prophecied.

The Festivals of the Lord given Israel represent the work of Christ in redemptive history, and the Sacrifices reflect the various aspects of Christ's substitutionary atonement and sacrifice for us on the cross. And much more could be said about the many ways the Old Testament points forward to Christ, and the New Testament reveals Christ.

God gives us more than enough evidence to know that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. The proof is in the Sriptures. If we ignore Christ, we do so at the peril of our own souls. Faith in Jesus is the only way for sinners to be forgiven of their sin and reconciled unto God. In the next blog, I intend to explain the nature of the work of Jesus that makes salvation possible.

Sin - Our Universal Dilemma

There are nine days left to Rosh Hashanah. If the Lord comes for His Church on September 29, 2011, how do you know if you'll by ready? Will you be taken, or will you be left behind to face the time of tribulations awaiting the whole world?

It's all about whether we have a relationship with God, and that's about the sin problem you and I have with God. Sin separates us from the love of God. Sin is a violation of divine law. Unforgiven sin brings God's perfect and just wrath and condemnation upon us.

We all know what it is like to feel guilt. We experience guilt when our wrong attitudes, words, or actions have caused harm to someone. The greatest commandments, according to Jesus are to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." When we don't love God and our neighbor as we should, we experience guilt and this is evidence of our sin.

Sin is universal. Nobody is exempt from it. The Bible says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). There are no exceptions.

Unless God changes us, we want to stay just like we are and continue in sin. Jesus said in John 3:19-20, "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed."

There are several ways God convicts us of our sin problem. First, God has placed a sense of right and wrong in our hearts.

"Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them." Romans 2:14-15

Secondly, God has given the law (ten commandments) to demonstrate our hopelessness in obeying God's law completely, which is intended to lead us seeking God's mercy and grace. Galatians 3:24 says, "So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith."

But even with our conscience bearing witness against us, we won't change without the power of the Holy Spirit convicting us. Jesus explained the importance of Him ascending to Heaven.

But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. (John 16:7-11)

Without the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit, we ignore what we know to be true due to the power of sin over us. We may rationalize why our sin isn't all that bad. Either we lower God's standard of righteousness that he requires of us so we can meet it, or we overestimate our righteousness. We may just try harder to overcome our past sins, hoping that God will see our sincerity and choose not to take our past sins into account. We may accept false teachings that minimize the consequences of sin or even dismiss the concept of sin altogether. We may accept forgiveness that has not been given because it's not based in faith in Christ. Or we may ignore the problem of sin and hope for the best.

Of course, none of the above methods of handling our sin problem works to truly reconcile us with God. The cost, however, of not reconciling with God, is enormous. Ezekiel 18:20 says, "The soul that sins shall die" , Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

In speaking to the religious rulers of Jesus day, He said, "I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.” (John 8:24)

Those who do not follow Jesus's words will face the White Throne Judgment. In Rev 20:11-15, we read:

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Mankind's dilemma is clear. God is Holy and perfect, and He requires man to be holy and perfect too. But man is sinful and cannot meet the just demands of a Holy god. So God, because of His great love for us, will give every person either the justice they deserve (eternal separation from Him and punishment in the lake of fire) or His mercy, grace, and forgiveness, which they don't deserve, but God is willing to freely give.

Sin is the bad news, but the good news (the gospel) is that God has solved our sin problem if we will only trust Him. The next three blog entries will discuss the person of Christ, the work of Christ to save us from our sins, and the way to personally receive salvation. Only those who are saved from their sins will be raptured when the Lord returns.

Closing Arguments - Weighing the Evidence

At the end of a trial, both prosecuting and defense attorneys get a chance to summarize their case and highlight the strength of their arguments. The jury then deliberates and renders their verdict. Over the past 30 days, I have written the reasons I believe the Lord's return is not only imminent but is right at the door. I can lay out a good case for the Lord's return occurring on the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah)in about ten days. But even if I'm proven wrong about that, the evidence is very strong that the Lord's return will be very soon. So this would be a good time to summarize my observations so you too can form your own opinion if you haven't already done so.

I have written about nearly 40 signs that would affirm one or more of the following prophetic indicators:
1) Timing of the Lord's return (day, month, year, date, and season)
2) Trustworthiness of a literal interpretation of Biblical prophecy
3) Timing of calamity and judgment of Israel and the nations through the tribulations

Now it's your turn to weigh the evidence of the signs. I interpret the Bible to say that Christ will appear in the air to rapture both those who died in Christ and those who are alive in Christ before the seven years of tribulation and that He will come to earth at the end of the tribulation period to destroy his enemies, judge the nations, and reign for a millenium.

If the Lord returns for believers on Rosh Hashanah (ten days from now), the next two years would provide sufficient time for the world to be introduced to the world leader (beast or antichrist) and for him to mobilize his followers. God's defense of Israel might force the world leader to set up a 7-year peace treaty (possibly 2013-2020), which would usher in the tribulation period. At the end of this 7-year period, Christ will come again to judge the world and reign as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

The time is at hand. Are you ready to face your Lord? Be watchful and alert. Long for His coming. Only ten days left to Rosh Hashanah!

Modifying the Weather

Have you noticed the weather lately? It sure seems like there are a lot of weather records being broken this year. What area of the country hasn't been affected by severe weather of one kind or another? There are too many of these "once in a hundred years" events happening one right after another for there not to be a good explanation. Some may blame global warming, but I think there is another culprit called HAARP that is affecting our weather.

The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the University of Alaska, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Its purpose is to analyze the ionosphere and investigate the potential for developing ionospheric enhancement technology for radio communications and surveillance purposes. The HAARP program operates a major Arctic facility, known as the HAARP Research Station, on an Air Force–owned site near Gakona, Alaska.

In 1997, Patrick Bailey and Nancy Worthington researched and wrote a paper entitled, HISTORY AND APPLICATIONS OF HAARP TECHNOLOGIES: THE HIGH FREQUENCY ACTIVE AURORAL RESEARCH PROGRAM. It was submitted in June 1997 to the 1997 Intersociety Energy Conversion Engineering Conference. The paper discussed HAARP's background, potential applications, possible hidden agendas, and possible dangers. In it's abstract, it states:

A serious review of HAARP is presented. On the surface, HAARP appears to be a nice military "scientific endeavor aimed at studying the properties and behavior of the ionosphere". Upon further investigation, HAARP appears to be filled with secrecy and fraught with possible severe dangers. Attempts to reopen an official assessment of this program and its old out-dated unclassified Environmental Impact Statement have thus far failed. HAARP appears to be in use by ARCO to sell natural gas to the military that would otherwise be trapped in Alaska. The HAARP patents imply that Billions of Watts could easily be used to power HAARP, with no or few equipment upgrades. The patents are now owned by a major military contractor. Many of the possible applications, as stated in the actual patents supporting HAARP, would be classified. An Independent Review Committee needs to be formed to access the possible dangers of the various real and possibly classified HAARP projects. This Committee needs to be independent from US Federal politics, Alaska state politics, the US military, and ARCO oil interests, and would probably need to report to both the Congress and the Senate. There is a great need to form this Review Committee, and the time to form it is NOW!

The paper identified the following list of dangers: ELF and VLF Pollution, Disastrous Resonance Effects in Living Systems, Affects on Living Things, Affects on Insects, Affects on Human Brain Waves, Weather Disasters, Natural Disasters, and Earthquakes.

Published scientific papers (American Geophysical Union, 2006) have documented that HAARP's modulated high frequency heating of the auroral electrojet is used to inject extremely low frequency (ELF) signals into the magnetosphere. ELF waves are used to communicate messages one-way with submerged submarines since they can't receive ordinary radio communication.

HAARP is producing ELF and VLF (very low frequency) waves within the atmosphere that are in the same frequency band as human brain waves. Our conscious and unconscious activities have been found to be controlled by brain waves in the range from 1 to about 35 Hz. Our conscious activity is regulated by brain waves in the 14-35 Hz range (Beta). Our unconscious and higher conscious activity is in the range of 8-14 Hz (Alpha). Our relaxed and deeply relaxed states are in the ranges of 4-8 Hz (Theta) and 1-4 Hz (Delta) (Hurtak, J., 1997). As the frequency decreases, the effect is more pronounced and more unconscious. The effect of large power EM radiations pulsing though the atmosphere on living creatures and human consciousness in these frequency ranges is completely unknown!

HAARP's rings are also being detected by radar 24-48 hours in advance of severe weather, including tornados. Dutchsince regularly posts YouTube videos showing HAARP rings on multiple radar sites 1-2 days in advance of severe weather near the center point of the ring. (Radar also reveals the use of chemtrails which help steer major storm systems to travel in desired directions.) Some investigators blame massive bird and fish deaths to atmospheric disturbances directly attributable to HAARP activity.

The military is very secretive about HAARP and won't admit to the above claims about weather control. Why would the government want to bring catastrophic weather to nearly all points in the country? I can only speculate here. Could they be perfecting their military application techniques using us as their guinea pigs? Could they be setting the stage for the public to accept a greater role of government intervention (i.e. FEMA) in our lives? Or could they be conditioning us to fear nature by the large number of major weather events (fires, droughts, tornados, hurricanes, floods, etc.) so we will be more receptive to the "solutions" being offered by the global elite?

Food, Air, Water, & Health - Tools of Control

What the global elite want more than anything else is complete control. They already have all the money they could ever want to spend. It's all about power, and what better way to control others than to control the necessities of life.

He who controls food controls the world
In 1962, The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food & Agiculture Organization (FAO) joined forces to form a trade commission called the Codex Alimentarious Commission that was purportedly going to protect food safety and promote world food trade. The Commission's decisions are enforced by the World Trade Organization (WTO).

In a presentation to the National Association of Nutrition Professionals in 2005, Dr. Rima Laibow discussed how the work of the Commission will actually degrade the world food supply and serve the profit interests of big pharmaceutical companies.

In 1994, nutrients were defined as toxins or poisons. Codex makes nutrients illegal in the same way cocaine is illegal. Every animal, bird, or fish used for food must be treated with antibiotics and growth hormones. It also mandates that all food be irradiated unless it is eaten locally or raw.

In 2001, 176 countries agreed to classify 12 organic chemicals as POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants) that must be banned worldwide. (It later said that 7 of these could not be stopped at the border.)

The WHO and FAO projected that within the first four years of the Commission's implementation of its vitamin and mineral guidelines, about 1 billion people will die from starvation and 2 billion people will die from preventable diseases caused by under-nutrition. This would fit nicely under the global elite's depopulation agenda for the masses, whom they refer to as "useless eaters". Big pharmaceutical companies stand to gain greatly from a very sick mass of people.

Another multinational giant company that is controlling the world food supply is Monsanto. It is the world's leading producer of the herbicide glyphosate, marketed as "Roundup". Monsanto is also the leading producer of genetically engineered (GE) seed; it provides the technology in 90% of the genetically engineered seeds used in the US market.

Since Roundup provides weed control by killing all the plants it touches, it cannot be used with conventional crops. Therefore, Monsanto has patented genetically modified crop seeds that Roundup doesn't harm so they can be used in combination. Monsanto claims the food quality these new seeds produce is "substantially equivalent" to the food produced by natural seeds.

With its enormous political influence, it has obtained regulatory approval to market its products despite its questionable claims. Because it's seeds are patented, Monsanto vigorously pursues small farmers who have any plants on their farms produced by Monsanto seed they wasn't purchased from them. Farmers are not even allowed to use seed from crops produced from purchased Monsanto seeds. If seeds are blown by the wind from one farm using the seeds to another not using the seeds, Monsanto will aggressively pursue the farmer they claim is violating their patent. Thus, Monsanto has struck fear in the heart of every small, independent farmer since they can threaten to close down the farm.

Through "transgenic contamination", it is feared that natural seeds will be genetically affected by close proximity to genetically modified seeds. If this happens, every crop can be said to come under Monsanto's patent protection. This wouldn't be so bad if Monsanto's claims of health safety and nutritional value of their new crops were true and if the cost of using of Monsanto's seeds were lower than conventional methods. In India, for example, the cost of Monsanto seeds were 4 times more than the cost of traditional seeds. In years with low crop yields, the higher cost of producing crops can cause farm failures and bankruptcies.

Monsanto is cornering the food market with their monopolistic methods of operation.

He who controls the air also controls the world
We are all familiar with contrails made by jets as they fly overhead, but have you heard about "chemtrails"? Contrails are artificial clouds that are the visible trails of condensed water vapour made by the exhaust of aircraft engines. They usually last just a few minutes and then disappear. Chemtrails, on the other hand, are trails left by aircraft that are actually chemical or biological agents deliberately sprayed at high altitudes for, perhaps, multiple purposes. Chemtrails do not evaporate like contrails but remain in the sky. They start out looking like contrails and begin to spread out over the sky.

A chemical analysis of the remains in rainwater has documented the presence of Aluminum, Barium, Calcium, Magnesium, and Titanium in the air over a part of the United States. We were not designed to breathe these materials, especially at the tiny particulate size, which has over and over been proven to cause increased death rates.

Why these chemicals are being secretly sprayed in air all over the world is still a mystery. Are they deliberately trying to weaken the health of the world? Are they creating an atmospheric stage from which they will be able to project holographic images to aid in ushering in the New World Order? Is it part of the initiative to change the weather. Or is it for a reason we haven't even thought about? Only time will tell.

Vaccinations are generally considered a good thing unless the people behind the manufacturing of such vaccinations have a sinister motive. There is evidence that is the case. The pharmaceutical companies can pile up huge profits by selling vaccinations that reach the population just in time to save them from each new potentially catastrophic pandemic that now comes around regularly. Some municipalities have passed ordinances that will force vaccinations on the public in a declared emergency.

In 2003,the NIH was given authority to speed approval of drugs and vaccines. Emergency approval of a "fast tracked" drug and vaccine can be given without the regular course of safety testing. The Secretary of HHS can make a determination that a "disease, health condition or threat" constitutes a public health emergency. He or she may then recommend "the manufacture, testing, development, administration, or use of one or more covered counter measures…".

As you might expect, with all the rush to get a vaccine to market, there could be some big misktakes made. Therefore, Pharma is now protected from all accountability, unless "criminal intent to do harm" can be proven by the injured party. They are protected from liability even if they know the drug will be harmful.

Huge profits and little to no liability for Pharma. If you add some sinister motives as well to depopulate the world, you have an unbeatable combination. There are YouTube testimonies of police who have been trained for the inevitable vaccination check points where people are forced to choose between getting vaccinated, leading to suicide, or containment in one of the many FEMA camps leading to eventual death.

To complete the picture of natural resources being controlled by ultra-powerful forces, we now turn to water. As I write this, Nestle has built pumping stations at several key tributaries in Michigan that feed into the Great Lakes. Each station can pump about 90 million gallons a year. They bottle the water and it gets shipped to China, which then feeds it into its aquifers, thus shifting our natural resources to them. They are not allowed to pump directly out of the Great Lakes so they decided to pump out of the rivers and streams that feed into the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes holds about 20% of the world's fresh water supply.

According to world-renowned scientist and DU/ Nuclear Weapons whistleblower Loren Moret, water bottlers are not only floridating the water they put into their bottles, but they are also putting lithium and uranium into the water. Lithium is used to treat bipolar and manic-depressant patients. It has the effect slowing our response and calming us down and making us docile. This is a great way to prepare people for control. Uranium acts as an estrogen and hormone disrupter. Loren says that the plastic used in the bottles themselves have a testosterone and estrogen mix. The net affect of these chemicals as they interact within the bottle is to lower the sterility of the population.

Controlling water can also be wildly lucrative. Just ask T. Boone Pickens who had some property he owned declared a water utility that then allowed him to buy up some surrounding property. With this property, he could drill into a large aquifer that crosses his property beneath the surface and control the body of water that is then piped to several large Texan cities. He expects to make a billion dollars over the next 30 years from this setup.

Governments, major corporation, and wealthy individuals will ultimately control the water you drink. This is just another example of the global elite grabbing control of the necessities of life. Just in time to hand over their power to their world leader, the beast (antichrist) soon after the rapture of the Church of Christ.

The Oil Game - Winners and Losers

The world runs on oil. Many of the products we use, from toothbrushes to asphalt, use crude oil to make. If you can control the price and availability of crude oil, you can exercise great control over the world.

In the eary 1970's Lindsay Williams, an aviation missionary, approached the executives of an oil company that was building the 800-mile Alaskan pipeline about volunteering to minister to the workers on the pipeline. Although they had never used a minister before and wasn't initially interested, Lindsay's persistence paid off and he was authorized to minister over a certain construction area. The results of his work was so impressive, he was invited to be an advisor of the oil company's executive team. For 3 years, Lindsay had full access to the inner workings of the company and learned a great deal about the oil business and who controls it.

One of Lindsay's books, The Energy Non-Crisis, details what he heard and saw during his time of unfettered access to the people who control oil. He learned that in the 70s, Henry Kissinger, who was the U.S. Secretary of State at the time, spoke to the oil-rich Arab countries and offered each of them a deal. (These countries were undeveloped since they didn't have the capability to drill the oil.) He would send the major oil companies to drill their oil for them so they could sell the oil to the United States. The U.S. would agree to purchase their oil primarily from these countries and would agree not consume much of its own domestic oil. In return, they would agree to purchase the oil using U.S. dollars as the currency of exchange and also agreed to invest much of their new-found wealth in U.S. Treasury bills and notes. This would be a prime source of funding for the future decades of escalating U.S. debt, which would be important as the U.S. freed itself from the gold-standard at about the same time.

Lindsay Williams was also there when one of the world's largest oil fields was discovered. He found out that there are enormous quantities of oil that have been discovered within the United States that would supply all our domestic oil needs for at least the next two hundred years. If the oil that is available was tapped, the supply would drive down the price of gasoline to about $1.50 a gallon within about a year. However, the news about the availability of this oil is classified and will not be released to the public. If it were known, the public would demand its use and the U.S. would have to break its agreement with the Arab countries that are now supplying the country with oil and purchasing large quantities of U.S. debt.

Recently, Lindsay reported being told that sometime soon the oil companies would double-cross the Arab countries. They would increase the price of oil to $150-$200 per barrel, which would wreck the U.S. economy and destroy the dollar. With the dollar worth little to nothing, the massive investments the Arab countries hold in U.S. debt instruments will be worthless and these countries net worth will plummet. Of course, the oil companies will make out like bandits selling oil at such high prices. And the public will cry out for more oil. The oil companies can then begin opening up these massive oil fields that are just waiting for the right time to be tapped.

Lindsay also learned that while the oil companies make record profits, the middleman in the oil distribution network is the primary agent that controls the price of oil and makes a fortune doing it. The middle man is the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (global governance institutions).

Lindsay was told that by the end of 2012, the dollar will be worthless because of the elite's manipulation of the oil markets and prices. The U.S. will rise again, but you can be sure it will rise under the leadership of a world leader, and one-world government. According to the Bible, the power in the hands of the ten kings will be handed over to the beast (antichrist). This should take place after the Church of Christ has been raptured. Therefore, this scenario also indicates the nearness of the Lord's return.

The Hidden Jesuit Agenda

The good news of God is that He is justly reconciling sinful people to Himself by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. His gift of eternal life is just that, a gift. It can't be merited, earned, or attained by human will or works. It is therefore given out of God's gracious nature.

Satan, however, is our adversary and the enemy of our souls. He would like us to believe otherwise because he wants to thwart God's plans. When outright persecution of the Church of Jesus Christ proved unsuccessful, he chose to infiltrate and pervert the Church with false doctrine. One of the most recent doctrines Satan uses is the belief that every path will lead to God. The only faith not tolerated is the one that claims to have the exclusive path to God. Thus, Bible-believing Christians cannot be tolerated in this light. For "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

When the antichrist comes to rule the world for a short time, he will lead a one-world government with the help of a one-world religion. Preparations have been underway for centuries to bring all of the world's religions under the rule of the Pope through the influence of the Jesuits (Society of Jesus).

After a serious injury and during a lengthy rehabilitation, Ignatius Loyola (1491-1556) wanted to start a new order, The Society of Jesus (or the Jesuits) and presented the idea to the Pope. He told the Pope that the idea had been inspired by heavenly revelations. At first, the Pope hesitated, but when Ignatius vowed "absolute subservience to the pope" and promised to do whatever the Pope wanted (in addition to the regular poverty, chastity, and obedience vows), the Pope agreed and sent the new order out to “invade the world.” While other monks of other orders sought to separate themselves from the world, the Jesuits went out into the world and obeyed whatever command the Pope gave. Often this was to win the world with the sword. No violent act was withheld if the order came from their top “general.”

The Jesuits have become active in education. The Jesuits have a maxim, "“Give us the education of the children of this day – and the next generation will be ours.”

They have also pretended to convert to Protestant Christianity and have infiltrated the evangelical church. There have been stories told of the tactics used by Jesuits who have joined Protestant churches against pastors who distance themselves from Roman Catholicism and firmly hold onto Biblical Christianity. These tactics can include public ridicule, isolation, and even violence.

Today, the Jesuits religious agenda promotes mysticism through the practice of "Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola" as a way to connect to God. Through practices like Sadhana that focuses on silencing the mind, they ackowledge Eastern mysticism as an enrishment to Christian spirituality. Since mysticism is the bridge that unites all of the world's religions, the practice of mysticism among Protestants and evangelicals conditions them to begin embracing Rome and even all religions.

According to a report from one man who the Jesuits tried unsuccessfully to recruit, a Jesuit told him that every non-Catholic born in the country is tracked. Their name is initially written on a white card. If the Jesuits expect trouble from them, their name is placed on a blue card, and if the person is deemed to be opposed to their agenda, the name is recorded on a red card.

A similar report comes from a police officer who spoke at a political rally in July 2008. Officer Jack McLamb confirmed that FEMA was behind an effort to place red and blue dots on mailboxes of people suspected to be protential resistors of the New World Order. About the time martial law is declared in the U.S. people with red dots on their mailbox would be taken out and executed. (I had both red and white overlapping dots on my mailbox that neither the post office or the newspaper carrier said they knew anything about.) People with blue dots would be rounded up in one of the many FEMA camps to be "reeducated", if possible. Those people with pink dots are expected to go along with the new world order program. Apparently, the groups expected to put up the most resistance were Bible-believing Christians, patriots, constitutionalists, and gun owners.

The Jesuits are preparing the whole world to follow the Pope as the leader of a one-world "apostate" religion. Their ways are secretive and deceptive, but very effective. They will stop at nothing to achieve their aims. They have been successful in portraying Bible-believing Christians as narrow-minded biggots and rendering them ineffective in countless Protestant and evangelical churches today. They are ready for their leader to come.

The Alien Agenda

I'm sure every reader has been asked at one time or another if they have seen a UFO or whether they believe in aliens from outer space. A search of the internet will yield a great deal of testimony from very credible witnesses about the existence of such beings. (Visit The Disclosure Project website.) Opinions vary widely from the debunkers to believers of every imaginable myth. In this blog, I will share my view of the reality of extraterrestrial beings and how it squares with prophecy of the end times.

The U.S. and other governments around the world have shared bits and pieces of what they have discovered about aliens, but for the most part they have withheld substantial information to the public. Yet the public has seen UFO's in the sky and many people claim to have had various encounters with aliens.

In essence, governments are perpetuating a mystery around this phenomenon that could ultimately be used to control the public's response through the fear of a worldwide threat of an alien invasion. With such a response, the world will clamor to unite behind a charismatic leader and one-world government that can save them from this threat. Therefore, the alien threat may be a convenient tool the elite can use to usher in the new world order that will be led by the beast (antichrist).

Evidence that such a plan is being developed comes from such sources as Dr. Carol Rosin, who was the first woman corporate manager of Fairchild Industries. and was spokesperson for Wernher Von Braun, considered to be the "father of rocket science", in the last years of his life. She founded the Institute for Security and Cooperation in Outer Space in Washington DC and has testified before Congress on many occasions about space based weapons. Von Braun revealed to Dr. Rosin a plan to justify weapons in spaced based on hoaxing an extraterrestrial threat.

Dr. Von Braun told Dr. Rosin that she would have to tell everyone she could about the lies that would be told for the reason to build space-based weapons. According to Dr. Rosin, he told her there would always have to be an adversary identified to justify the enormously expense program to weaponize space. Of course, such a program is really a way to control the world. Back in the 1970s, Dr. Von Braun said the following adversaries would be identified over the course of time:
1) The Russians (The Soviet Union was the chief adversary of the U.S. at that time.)
2) Terrorists (Predicted well before the 9/11 terrorist attack.)
3) Third-world countries (Rogue nations are developing weapons of mass destruction.)
4) Asteroids (This has been a big focus with Elenin, etc.)
5) The Extraterrestrial threat (The last adversary needed for their plan.)

The elite have a "moral code" which includes revealing their plans ahead of time. One way they choose to do that is through the media. Motion pictures have made some aliens lovable (E.T.) and others have clearly depicted very scary alien invasions. Through such movies, the public is more apt to accept the idea of real aliens and
the possibility of a real threat to mankind. The world has been prepared for the ultimate story line to come.

Since Satan is ultimately behind the push to a one-world-government, it is entirely reasonable to believe that his followers (the fallen angels) have visibly manifested themselves in the form of aliens of every category throughout the history of mankind. When modern man sees historic artifacts resembling the aliens being seen today, the story gains even greater credibility. Some alien types are considered to be benevolent toward mankind while other alien types are said to be malevolent towards us. When the time comes to sell the story of an imminent alien invasion, who would be better to confirm it than a few fallen angels who are masquerading around as aliens friendly to mankind?

Change is often motivated by fear. I believe that is one of the primary tactics the global elite will use to usher in the acceptance of a New World Order led by the beast or antichrist. Dr. Rosin revealed the plan in the 1970s. At that time, the plan had various stages to go. The plan seems nearly complete now as the comet Elenin is scheduled to pass near Earth over the next couple of months. (The NASA website even allows you to track the projected path of the comet over time.)

The push for the government of the antichrist is near. But before the antichrist comes, the Church of Christ will be raptured to be with the Lord. Could that be this year? Could that be on Rosh Hashanah, which is only 15 days away. Are you ready for the Lord's return?

Harmonic Convergence & The New Age Christ

On August 16-17, 1987, approximately 500 million New Age followers across the globe focused their energies and their creative thought processes to advance the world more quickly into the New World Order and its Kingdom of the New Age Christ (the beast or antichrist of the Book of Revelation).

Since these occultists believe that a person who is adept in the occult arts can create reality with their minds, they focused their minds and energies for two days, "visualizing" Christ's Kingdom and its promised "Peace and Safety" in order to create the appearance of the New Age Christ.

A secondary goal of this original Harmonic Convergence was to overcome the "cumulative negative aura" which was exhibited by all persons who do not believe in the Kingdom of the New Age Christ, or who are vigorously opposed to it. Several hundred millions of people world-wide hold religious beliefs that will prevent them from ever accepting the claims of the New Age Christ. These people all exhibit a "negative" aura that is cumulatively very powerful and must be overcome. New Age followers firmly believe that Bible-believing born again Christians exhibit this "cumulative aura" that is currently powerful enough to prevent their (false) Christ from making his appearance.

The last reason that the New Age leadership staged the first Harmonic Convergence in 1987 was that their 'Guiding Spirits' (the Bible calls them evil spirits) have long told them that the final Kingdom of the Christ, known as the "Era of the New Harmony", would be set up in the year 2012 A.D. This is the time when The Christ will have conquered all his enemies, "cleansed" the Earth, and re-established the Ancient Mysteries Religion to public worship. The 'Guiding Spirits' have revealed that, before this new Era of the New Harmony could finally be established, the Earth will have to go through a 25 year period of change, some gradual and invisible, and some quick and devastating. The year, 1987, was precisely 25 years before this final date in 2012.

For those who know Bible prophecy, it is so clear that all of this is preparing for the entrance of the beast (antichrist) onto the world stage. He will appear convincingly to the world as the one person who can straighten out the tremendous chaos in the world. In reality, however, he will be a "wolf in sheep's clothing". He will ultimately blaspheme everything that is good, including Heaven and God Himself. God will permit him to rule for a little while, but ultimately he will be thrown into the Lake of Fire.

"Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh." (Revelation 19:19-21)

I have noticed that new age sources usually say their predictions may not be exact or they may not be true at all. They generally say that is because people have free will and therefore people can change the future. The Bible, however, says that prophecies that do not always come true are from "false prophets" rather than God. No one knows what will happen in the future unless it comes from God.

You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?” If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed. (Deuteronomy 18:21-22)

From all appearances, the occultic (demonic) world is placing a great deal of emphasis on the year 2012 as the year when the New Age Christ will appear. Although we don't know the reason for their confidence, we can say that the appearance of the beast in 2012 would seem to fit into the signs of the Lord's returning for His church in 2011 and the need for a short preparatory period prior to the seven years of tribulation from 2013-2020.

I want to remind the reader that my belief about the timing of the Lord's return is not based on having received a special word from the Lord, but rather on the weight of evidence of the signs I see. I am writing this blog so you can also consider some of the evidence I see and make up your own mind about what it all means.

If I accomplish nothing else from this blog but awaken a few people to the nearness of Jesus Christ's return so they can prepare themselves before it's too late, it will be well worthwhile.

Ten Commandments of the New World Order

In 1979, a person who called himself R.C. Christian came to Elberton Granite Finishing Company in Elbert County, Georgia and announced that he wanted to build an edifice to transmit a message to mankind. This relatively unknown monument was erected March 22, 1980 and is referred to as The Georgia Guidestones, or alternatively the American Stonehenge.

These are the following 10 Guides, or Commandments, engraved in eight different languages on the four giant stones that support the common capstone.

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

The Guides engraved on the Georgia Guidestones deal with the following
four major fields:
(1) Governance and the establishment of a world government,
(2) Population and reproduction control,
(3) The environment and man's relationship to nature, and
(4) Spirituality.

Again, we see a higher concern for nature than humanity. The population of the world today is 6.961 billion people. Maintaining a population of 500 million as stated in the first Guide would require a 97% reduction in world population. This goal is consistent with the depopulation agenda of the Club of Rome. There are many secret and not-so-secret plans to achieve this goal.

Identical concepts of the American Stonehenge are also espoused in the 16 principles of the Earth Charter. In 1997, the Earth Council and Green Cross International, founded by Mikhail Gorbachev, formed The Earth Charter Commission. This Commission approved the final text of the Earth Charter in 2000, and it has since been embraced by the United Nations, many religious leaders around the world, the majority of world governments and countless Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's) and activist groups.

The real intent behind the Earth Charter, and the Global Green Agenda, is to eliminate national sovereignty and place all humanity under the control of a single 'Earth Government.' They clearly state that this is their goal:

"There is no shadow of a doubt that the present political and economic systems - if systems they are - are no longer appropriate and will lead to the end of life evolution on this planet. We must therefore absolutely and urgently look for new ways. The less we lose time, the less species' and nature will be destroyed."

The continental approach to a world union remains an important avenue. One could conceive five continental unions: the European Union, an American, an African, an Asian, and an Australian Union. A World Union could be constructed as a super-structure and common political, economic and environmental instrument to achieve these objectives." (Earth Charter in Action)

The Earth Charter's view on faith was revealed through the forum for Inter-Religious Groups and Spiritual Leaders. The official meeting minutes stated, the intent was to deal with "the ethics of intolerant righteousness and the greed of short term gain, as these cannot lead us to sustainable development. It is clear that our religious institutions have barely begun to articulate the core values of sustainable development. In their fundamentalist - fanatical forms, religions throughout history have justified terrorism, jihads and crusades against people who hold different beliefs and against the Earth itself."

While supporters of the Earth Charter consider traditional mono-theistic religions to be the main obstacle to peaceful coexistence and sustainable life on Earth, they do not propose doing away with spirituality. The preamble of the charter states "the spirit of human solidarity and kinship with all life is strengthened when we live with reverence for the mystery of being, gratitude for the gift of life, and humility regarding the human place in nature."

The Earth Charter lays out the Constitution for a New Green Order. "The choice is ours," it states, "form a global partnership to care for Earth and one another or risk the destruction of ourselves and the diversity of life. Fundamental changes are needed in our values, institutions, and ways of living."

Once again, we see the major world influences at work today that one would expect to see if the one-world ruler (beast or antichrist) is about to appear. Before that happens, however, God's faithful will be taken up (raptured) to be with the Lord. Could it be this year on Rosh Hashanah? There is so much new age focus on 2012, it seems reasonable to assume that the occult heirarchy is expecting major world changes to happen soon.

The Three World War Plan

Albert Pike had a vision, which he described in a letter that he wrote to Mazzini, dated August 15, 1871. This letter graphically outlined plans for three world wars that were seen as necessary to bring about the One World Order.

Albert Pike (1809–1891) was an attorney, Confederate officer, writer, and Freemason. Pike is the only Confederate military officer to be honored with an outdoor statue in Washington, D.C. mostly due to his masonic connection with President Andrew Johnson, who pardoned Pike for treason after the American Civil War. He joined Freemasonry and was elected Sovereign Grand Commander in 1859. He held the office for the remainder of his life. He devoted a large amount of his time developing the rituals of the order. He published a book called Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in 1871.

There is no conclusive proof to show the letter to Mazzini was ever written even though it has been widely quoted and discussed. The following are reported to be extracts taken from his letter.

"The First World War must be brought about in order to permit the Illuminati to overthrow the power of the Czars in Russia and of making that country a fortress of atheistic Communism. The divergences caused by the "agentur" (agents) of the Illuminati between the British and Germanic Empires will be used to foment this war. At the end of the war, Communism will be built and used in order to destroy the other governments and in order to weaken the religions."

"The Second World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences between the Fascists and the political Zionists. This war must be brought about so that Nazism is destroyed and that the political Zionism be strong enough to institute a sovereign state of Israel in Palestine. During the Second World War, International Communism must become strong enough in order to balance Christendom, which would be then restrained and held in check until the time when we would need it for the final social cataclysm."

"The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion…We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view. This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time."

The vision Albert Pike received 140 years ago outlines the plan and purposes for the first two world wars and the one that is yet to come. Although this might have been Satan's plans, I believe God used the plans of Satan to advance His own plans. Could it be that the first two wars were preparing God's people of promise, the Jews, and the promised land of Israel for the eventual birth of the nation of Israel in 1948? And could it be that the coming world war will "Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD — that you alone are the Most High over all the earth"? (Psalm 83:18)

Both Biblical prophecy and the Illuminati plan state that Israel is the key. The Third World War is planned to begin when Israel goes to war against her Arab enemies, and Israel is on the very brink of war now!

The Popes and the New World Order

As the age of the Church of Jesus Christ comes to an end at the rapture and the age of the gentiles comes to a close at the second coming of Jesus Christ, we would expect to see extrabiblical sources that would also point to the same time period for related end-time events. In this posting, I'll introduce several such sources.

Prophecy of Popes
Saint Malachy was born in Ireland in 1094. He lived a religious life as a monk and was ordained priest and finally Bishop. Pope Clement III canonized him in 1199. In 1139 and 1140, Saint Malachy made a pilgrimage to Rome and had a series of visions about 112 Popes from Celestine III, elected Pontiff in 1130 until the last Pope, who is described as Peter Romanus.

The last five popes are mentioned with the following titles: Flos Florum (Flower of Flowers) – Pope Paul VI, De medietate Lunae (Of the half moon) – Papa Jaun Pablo I, DeLabore Solis (From the toil of the sun) – Pope John Paul II, Gloria Olivae (The Glory of the Olive) – Benedict XVI, Petrus Romanus (Peter Roman).

The end of Saint Malachy’s prophecy ends as follows: In the persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock among many tribulations after which the seven hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people.

Is Peter the Roman the one who represents the Woman (one-world religion) who sits upon the beast (antichrist) for the first half of the seven-year tribulation period?

Revelation 17:9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits... 18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”

Pope Benedict Signals Coming New World Order
Pope Benedict's calling for a “world political authority” in his encyclical, Caritas in Veritate has created a stir.

67. In the face of the unrelenting growth of global interdependence, there is a strongly felt need, even in the midst of a global recession, for a reform of the United Nations Organization, and likewise of economic institutions and international finance, so that the concept of the family of nations can acquire real teeth. One also senses the urgent need to find innovative ways of implementing the principle of the responsibility to protect and of giving poorer nations an effective voice in shared decision-making. This seems necessary in order to arrive at a political, juridical and economic order which can increase and give direction to international cooperation for the development of all peoples in solidarity. To manage the global economy; to revive economies hit by the crisis; to avoid any deterioration of the present crisis and the greater imbalances that would result; to bring about integral and timely disarmament, food security and peace; to guarantee the protection of the environment and to regulate migration: for all this, there is urgent need of a true world political authority, as my predecessor Blessed John XXIII indicated some years ago.

A recent YouTube video, titled "Pope Signals Date of NWO" shows Pope Benedict using hand signs and numerology to reveal both the date he was speaking and a future date, which is believed to be the date the New World Order is to begin. According to the video, the date he signaled for this was March 25, 2012. If the Pope has inside information and is correct, then the rapture is likely to occur on Rosh Hashanah 2011since Scripture indicates that Christ's true followers will not be on earth for the tribulations ahead.

Illuminati, Masons, New Age, and Lucifer

The Bible speaks of the devil as like a lion prowling around to see who he may devour (See 1 Peter 5:8), and as the prince of this world (See John 12:31). Clearly, Satan has blinded the eyes of the world from the truth, and he is setting up his one-world government and world religion behind the scenes.

In 1773, Mayer Rothschild (formery Bauer) invited 12 wealthy revolutionary-minded men to his goldsmiths shop. Together they formulated a plan to seize control of the worlds wealth. They made a pact to secretly pool their wealth to bankrupt the nations of the world and create a New World Order. Mayer Rothschild set up 5 family banks to be run by each of his 5 sons in London, Paris, Naples, Frankfurt and Vienna.

The Illuminati began on May 1, 1776 when Jesuit-taught Adam Weishaupt who was commissioned by two sons of Mayer Rothschild (Nathan from London and James from Paris) devised a plan to control the wealth, natural resources and manpower of the entire world. It was a plan to divide and conquer the nations of the world, by provoking war then profiting from war loans and sales of weapons to both sides. Exhausted by war, terror and chaos, humanity would eventually bow-down to One World ruler and One World army as a solution.

It was a plan to control public opinion, by purchasing controlling shares in newspaper houses, TV networks, publishing houses and film studios. Sports, games and alcohol would be used to distract the masses. Laws would be changed, banks would be monopolized and people and nations would be made into obedient debt-slaves.

With Rothschild financing, Adam Weishaupt formed a secret world revolutionary group called the Illuminati. He recruited thousands of influential members by convincing them that only men of superior ability had the right to rule over the ignorant masses.

French police exposed the plan, when they found documents on an Illuminati courier who was struck by lightening while traveling from Germany to France. The Illuminati was forced underground. They took refuge with the Freemasons.

Freemasonry is a recruiting tool of the Illuminati. Masons who display the right thinking are advanced to a high enough rank in the organization to where they are informed of the true goals, and the "god" they worship, Lucifer. Until the 31st degree, they are lied to about these, and many other things. "Morals and Dogma", by Albert Pike, explains the true motives and methods of freemasonry. According to Albert Pike:

That which we must say to the world is that we worship a god, but it is the god that one adores without superstition. To you, Sovereign Grand Inspectors General, we say this, that you may repeat it to the brethren of the 32nd, 31st and 30th degrees: The masonic Religion should be, by all of us initiates of the higher degrees, maintained in the Purity of the Luciferian doctrine. If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay and his priests calumniate him?

Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also god. For the eternal law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black, for the absolute can only exist as two gods; darkness being necessary for light to serve as its foil as the pedestal is necessary to the statue, and the brake to the locomotive….

Thus, the doctrine of Satanism is a heresy, and the true and pure philosophical religion is the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay; but Lucifer, God of Light and God of Good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the God of Darkness and Evil.

The entire purpose of the New World Order is to bring Lucifer down to earth and enforce worldwide worship of him as God. Satan's right hand man on earth whom the Bible calls the False Prophet, will implement and enforce worldwide worship of Lucifer as God.

Most know Lucifer as one of these last days beast's as the Antichrist. The occultic groups call him "the One" or the "God of Light." Some say Lucifer will just arrive as himself masquerading as an angelic being, others declare it will be a human political or religious figure who dies and then comes back to life and then visibly descends to earth from heaven.

The New World Order is about dictatorial control over, but the entire world. It is about worldwide government and control over the masses. It is about one leader rising to take rule and control over all the governments of the world and the nations. And for what? Worship. Not just to lead a dictatorial world empire, but to be worshipped as God. You can't separate politics and religion with the New World Order.

8. USE MEDIA TO PROMOTE AND CHANGE MINDSET
9. CREATE AN INTERFAITH MOVEMENT
10.GET GOVERNMENTS TO MAKE ALL THESE LAW AND GET THE CHURCH TO ENDORSE THESE CHANGES.

The Great Prostitute
Revelation 17:3-6 speaks of a woman that represents a major religious influence in the time of the tribulations.

"Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery:

BABYLON THE GREAT
THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus."

According to the extensively-documented book, Two Babylons written by Alexander Hislop in 1853, Roman Catholicism adopted the ancient pagan practices of the Babylonian Religion through many of its customs, rituals, and practices. Although the priests once insisted that only Catholics could be saved, it now finds common ground with religions of every stripe. It firmly rejects the Biblical truth that faith alone in Jesus Christ alone is the only way of salvation (See John 3:16-18, Romans 10:9-13, Ephesians 2:8-9). Hislop firmly believes the Roman Catholic Church and its representative, the Pope, is the woman spoken of in Scripture. As the leader of the one-world religion, the Pope would then be the head of the amalgamation of all the world religions.

The beast (antichrist) will go along with this for awhile, but according to Revelation 17:16-17, "The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority, until God’s words are fulfilled."

A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing
One of the common characteristics of all major world religions is their expectation of someone at the end of the age to come and make everything right again.

Muslims have similar beliefs about the coming of the Mahdi. Differences exist among Sunni and Shiite sects of Islam. For example, Shiite Muslims believe Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Mahdī (born c. July 29, 869) is the Mahdī, an ultimate savior of humankind and the final Imām of the Twelve Imams. They believe that al-Mahdī was born in 869 and did not die but rather was hidden by God (this is referred to as the Occultation) and will later emerge with Isa (Jesus Christ) in order to fulfill their mission of bringing peace and justice to the world.

In Hinduism, Kalki is the tenth and final Maha Avatar (great incarnation) of Vishnu who will come to end the present age of darkness and destruction known as Kali Yuga.

Buddhist eschatology derives from purported Gautama Buddha's prediction that his teachings would disappear after 5,000 years. The "ten moral courses of conduct" will disappear and people will follow the ten amoral concepts of theft, violence, murder, lying, evil speaking, adultery, abusive and idle talk, covetousness and ill will, wanton greed, and perverted lust resulting in skyrocketing poverty and the end of the worldly laws of true dharma. Some time following this development a new Buddha named Maitreya will arise to renew the teachings of Buddhism and rediscover the path to Nirvana. Maitreya is believed to currently reside in the Tuṣita heaven, where he is awaiting his final rebirth in the world.

The similarities among these and other religions beliefs are somewhat striking. The beast (antichrist) will first appear to the world as a Savior at a time when the world is in a chaotic condition and desperately clamoring for a savior. With strong persuasion and satanic delusions, the world will very likely see the beast antichrist) as the one prophecied about in their own scriptures. The beast's true colors will certainly emerge by the mid-point of the tribution period.

Although the above scenario may seem incredible to some, the Blue Beam Project is an initiative that is ready to use state-of-the-art technology to introduce the "world leader" to the world. Each part of the world should be able see and hear from the "savior" prophecied by their own religion. These images will ultimately converge on the beast (antichrist) himself in order for the world to more easily accept the convergence of all religions, which will be necessary for a one-world system to work.

The Gathering Storm - A Quick Survey of the World - Part 1

There are forces that are acting behind the scenes that are pushing towards a world where a few (the elite) have complete control over everyone else. The Bible says that ultimately there will be "...ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast." (Revelation 17:12-13)

If the Lord's return is near, we should see the world shaping up to create a concentration of power that will ultimately result in the establishment of ten kings out of which the antichrist will come. Is that what's taking place? I believe it it, but it can only be perceived by those who are willing to "look behind the curtain". Let's take a whirlwind trip around the creation of this concentration of power.

Worldwide Power - The Ten Kings
Prophecy watchers sometimes scratch their heads on where to look for the ten kings. The statue in the dream of Nebuchadnezzar that Daniel interpreted (See Danile 2) describes a fourth and final world power, as strong as iron, and became divided. Its foot and toes were make up of iron mixed with clay, which means it was partly strong and partly brittle. This clearly seems to point to the Roman empire and its ultimate revival.

If the revived Roman empire encompasses the same countries and geography as the original empire, then the European Union would seem to the fulfillment of this prophecy. However, the problem is that there are many more than ten countries that have joined the EU. Some believe the revived Roman Empire will appear as ten worldwide regions or unions, such as the European Union, African Union, and developing North American Union. One commentator suggests that the ten kings are not political kings at all but rather ten powerful family bloodlines. Only time will tell, but it has become clear to those of us who witnessed the demise of the Soviet Union and the recent Arab Spring that major political changes can happen very rapidly.

The Demise of America
On the news today, polls indicate 74% of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction while only 19% believe the country is headed in the right direction. America is disgusted with Congress as indicated by a 12% approval rating. Right now the economy and high unemployment are the biggest concerns. With deficits soaring for as far as the eye can see and with constant political gridlock, the outlook for the country is grim.

President Bush and President Obama have signed executive orders that grant the President sweeping dictatorial powers, with no short-term congressional oversight, in the event the President decides to declare martial law. Working with a network of Fusion Centers, FEMA will have the authority to control anyone that resists the will of the government with the help of the Army (U.S. Northern Command).

Efforts are underway to limit our freedoms and privacy in the name of security. A police state presence is developing. More attention is being paid to follow the United Nations resolutions than to follow the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. And secretly, the leaders of the U.S., Mexico, and Canada are following the same path to regionalization that the European Union followed. Before the public will have a chance to debate the matter, the North American Union will be a reality and our national sovereignty will be surrendered.

In 1992, planning by the global elite resulted in a comprehensive action plan to be executed by all members of the United Nations. 178 Countries that attended the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil voted to adopt the plan. It is a global plan designed to be implemented nationally and locally.

Its 40 chapters cover in great detail how the elite would like to bring everyone under their control. The theme of the plan is "sustainable development", and it focuses on the following objectives: 1) an end to national sovereignty, 2) abolition of private property, 3) restructure of the family unit, and 4) increasing limits on individual mobility and opportunities.

The plan elevates nature over mankind. The environment serves an a central organizing idea. I believe there is such an emphasis on the environment because the elite generally believe that both mankind and the earth must be equally prepared before they can together ascend to the next evolutionary leap to the "Omega Point".

Maurice Strong, Secretary-general of the 1992 UNCED conference, is a primary author of Agenda 21. In setting the tone for the adoption of the plan, he stated: "Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class-- involving high meat consumption and large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and workplace air-conditioning, and suburban housing are not sustainable. A shift is necessary which will require a vast strengthening of the multilateral system, including the United Nations."

Some of the items in Agenda 21 not considered to be sustainable include: private property, fossil fuels, consumerism, golf courses & ski lodges, irrigation, paved roads, commercial agriculture, herbicides & pesticides, farmlands, pastures, grazing livestock, and the family unit.

Unites States governmental support is clear. In 1992, President George Bush executed Agenda 21 Protocols on behalf of the U.S. A year later, President Bill Clinton established the Presidential Council for Sustainable Development (without any Congressional review). President Obama signed an executive order on June 9, 2011 which established the White House Rural Council (WHRC). The Executive Order seems to be in line with the Agenda 21, as it is designed to begin taking control over almost all aspects of the lives of 16 percent of the American people.

Under the Wildlands Project, a large portion of the country would be off limits to humans or human activity. Human beings are to be concentrated in human development zones. Jobs are assigned and children are cared for by the State. There may only be a quarter of the land designated for human habitation. This fits well within the goals of the elite to drastically reduce the world population and maintain a "feudal" system that serves them well.

So how can ordinary people agree to such a plan? UNESCO declared 2005-2015 to be the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. The aim is to indoctrinate a generation of children to take on the values they believe "global citizens" should reflect, including loyalty to the government over the family.

There is an intentional "dumbing down" of our children that is occuring as well. Since higher educated people consume more resources, they consider more education to be a threat to sustainability. There is more of an emphasis on getting along and following the leaders in their educational plans than there is on educational attainment.

Sustainable development goals is in direct opposition to the principles, values, and lifestyles that made America great. Under Agenda 21, Americans will lose their independence, privacy, and constitutionally-guaranteed rights.

Through this integrated worldwide action plan, the elite can control the masses as they desire. Power is what they want, and power is what they will get if their plans are successful. Of course, the Bible states that Satan is the "prince of this world". If the elite take control, Satan will have the ultimate control he desires, which he will give to his representative, the Beast (antichrist).

Standing Up for Justice

How should Christians respond to such plans like Agenda 21. Although the time is short, I believe we need to be as united and vocal as possible. Much of this type of planning is done out of the public spotlight. Words are carefully chosen in their documents to sound high-minded and conceal the real intent of their plans.

Christians should not fear man, but rather shine a spotlight on what's done in secret. What the elite fears most is exposure. What they do in secret, let's shout from the rooftops. If we do this, they will retreat for awhile.

The Bible tells us, however, that Satan's New World Order will succeed, at least for a little while. If we stand up for what's right, I believe God is pleased and we may have some positive impact in our world.

One of the devil's most successful schemes is to keep Christians quiet either through ignorance, apathy, or fear. Do you know if Agenda 21 is being quietly implemented in your community? What injustice is occuring in your community that you just find it easier to ignore? Have you decided the price might be too much to pay? Satan wins the battle when we choose not to resist him. Are you ready to fight?

The Global Elite's Hidden Agenda

Fact is indeed stranger than fiction. There really is someone behind the curtain just like the wizard in the movie Wizard of Oz. Over the next several blog entries I intend to peer behind the curtain to see what's really happening in our world. This may stretch many readers to the breaking point because we just can't bring ourselves to believe what the evidence shows could really be happening. It took me a couple of years of checking, cross-checking, and comparing the proof with what the Bible says will happen in the end times before I accepted what I am about to write. So let's first start with world politics.

It's really all about power in our world. The richest of the rich are not satisfied with their vast wealth, they really want control. They want power. They plot among themselves secretly to bring about more and more power to themselves. The last thing they want to do is to expose their methods to the rest of the world.

The global elite have a very unusual world view on how society should function that originated with Plato. They basically view the world stratified into three levels. The elite are the fewest in number and they are at the top level of society. They are the masters and everyone else lives to serve them. At the bottom are the servants or slaves. They live on very meager means and they exist to make life better for the masters. The middle level consists of the police or military that function to protect the social order and preserve the status quo.

In order to advance their agenda to reshape society this way, the elite have developed exclusive institutions such as the Bilderberg Group, Club of Rome, The Council on Foreign Relations, The Trilateral Commission, and others.

The Bilderberg Group first met in 1954 at the Hotel Bilderberg. For an entire weekend the elite gathering discussed the future of the world. When it was over, they agreed to meet annually. The Bilderger Group completely takes over the hotel during their meetings. Only the most powerful people in the world are invited, and secrecy and security is of utmost importance. A few very ingenious investigators such as Jim Tucker and Daniel Estulin have been able to report on topics discussed. The meetings produce a general consensus on major world policy issues among the attendees, who then leave and work on implementing these policies within their areas of influence.

For over seventy years, the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR), and the financial powers behind it, have promoted the "New World Order". The CFR is the promotional arm of the Ruling Elite in the United States of America. Most influential politicians, academics and media personalities are members, and it uses its influence to infiltrate the New World Order into American life. Its' "experts" write scholarly pieces to be used in decision making, the academics explain the wisdom of a united world, and the media members communicate the message.

David Rockefeller was the major force behind the establishment of the Trilateral Commission (TC). In 1973, he named Zbigniew Brzezinski as the Chairman and cofounder because he was upset with other Bilderberg members who didn't want to include Japan in their membership. The purpose of TC is to become like an international CFR with the purpose of organizing a world government among the free world and advanced communist states.

The Club of Rome was organized in 1968 for the purpose of accelerating the plans to have the New World Order in place by the year 2000. The Club of Rome developed a plan to divide the world into ten regions or kingdoms. They are also widely known for their support of major world depopulation.

When you look at the movers and shakers in all areas of government, you will see that most of them are members of these type of one-world government organizations. The U.S. Constitution and national sovereignty is considered outdated and allegience to the United Nations, NATO, and similar world institutions is taking its place.

These politicians and world leaders know that most citizens are not in favor of giving up their national allegience for one-world government. So they are forced to quietly go about their business to erode national allegience and patriotism while practically nobody is paying close attention to what they are doing.

When we awaken to what is happening, we witness the U.S. President committing troops to support the NATO operation against Libya as authorized by a United Nations resolution rather than following the United States constitution (Article 1 Section 8)that gives war powers to Congress.

All of this will eventually lead to a world governed by regions and led by a single strong leader that the Bible calls the beast (the antichrist). When that happens, if you are left behind after the rapture, then watch out! You will lose your freedoms and most likely your life.

The Economy - A House of Cards

The world has a very big debt problem, with Europe leading the way. When central banks, like the privately-owned federal reserve, can create money out of thin air, a prosperity bubble is inevitable. Today, we are on the verge of global economic catrastophe because most of us borrowed like there was no tomorrow and now tomorrow has come calling for its reckoning.

As a result, governments who cannot afford the interest on their debt are facing a dilemma. They can appease the bankers by offering up their national resources as bargaining chips and instilling extreme austerity measures among the citizens and risk rioting and revolution, or they can default. If they default, their sovereign debt becomes worthless to any lender, and those who hold the now worthless debt and are already highly leveraged face ruin when they have to devalue their assets.

This scenario is being played out across the whole continent of Europe right now. Greece is being propped up by major bailouts from healthier countries like Germany. Countries such as Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Ireland are also likely to line up for bailout support from European Union. EU support of a smaller economy like Greece may be possible. However, when larger economies like Italy need similar support that the EU cannot or will not bailout, the house of cards will begin to fall. Banks that hold their debt will fold. Capital will freeze up. Business will be paralized. Jobs will be lost. And anarchy will prevail.

Is this just an absurd scenario? Not according to respected leaders of the financial markets. Andrea Enria, chairman of the European Banking Authority, described current market conditions as "under severe strain" as he said: "Further deterioration in the sovereign debt crisis might raise serious challenges."

Politicians and world leaders often say they don't want to "waste" a crisis. The coming world-wide economic collapse that I believe will start in Europe is a necessary step in order for the world to accept an alternative solution to national currencies.

For years, world leaders have argued for a one-world currency. US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner recently shocked global markets by revealing that Washington is “quite open” to Chinese proposals for the gradual development of a global reserve currency run by the International Monetary Fund.

The eventual one-world leader, known in the Bible as "the beast" or the "antichrist" will also adopt a one-world currency in his rule.

It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-18)

With the use of today's microchip technology, marking people for the purpose of controlling what they can buy or sell is now possible. In fact Aaron Russo has openly discussed private conversations he had with Nick Rockefeller that the goal of the elite bankers is to ultimately microchip and control the entire population.

We seem to be on the brink of a world-wide financial collapse that will be tailor-made to usher in the New World Order, led by the antichrist, that's now being openly mentioned by leaders around the country. The time is at hand. The end is near. Are you ready for our Lord when He comes for His saints? Only 28 days left to Rosh Hashanah!

Faith or Fear

As we ponder the terrible economic times ahead, we can take comfort in God's promise to keep us from the trial the rest of the world must endure. Consider what God says:

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. (1 Thessalonians 5:8-10)

Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. (Revelation 3:10)

In the meantime as we wait for His appearing, let's not fear. "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." (2 Timothy 1:7)

Israel, Jerusalem, and the Powder Keg

29 days left until Rosh Hashanah!

In previous blog postings, I wrote about some independent confirmations that seem to indicate that the Lord could return for His people this year on Rosh Hashanah. Now, it's time to discuss current events that reinforce this view.

Joel Rosenberg, the author of Epicenter and Inside the Revolution, says that if you want to really know what's going on in the world, just look at what's happening in Israel, and particularly in Jerusalem. He makes a good argument since we know the central focus of the world in the Book of Revelation is Jerusalem.

In the mid-point of the tribulation when the Dragon (Satan) is thrown out of Heaven onto the earth, he pursues the "woman (Israel) who had given birth to the male child (Jesus Christ)". However, the woman was given a safe place in the desert, prepared for her by God, to go and stay for 3 1/2 years. Then Satan becomes enraged and goes off to make war with the woman's offspring (those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus).

As we look at what's going on in the Middle East, we see Israel completely surrounded by enemies, most of whom are more than ready to destroy her. The picture is clearly painted in Zechariah 12:2-3:

“I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.

Not only are all the nations that surround Israel ready to destroy her, but Israel has few allies around the world that are willing to help. This year's Arab Spring that is toppling dictatorships throughout the Arab world, appears to be a major regional movement by the radical Muslim Brothehood that will soon be poised to aim its wrath at both the "little Satan" (Israel) and the "Great Satan (U.S.). It looks like even the United States, who has been a staunch ally of hers over the years, could remove its support.

A big test will come at the United Nations meeting in September when there will be a motion made to accept a new, non-negotiated, Palestinian state, according to pre-1967borders. If passed, that would put Jerusalem in the hands of the Palestinians. According to Zechariah, that will not happen. (See Zechariah 12:4-9)

The inevitable war that will pit Israel against the surrounding nations will be won by Israel, and her enemies will perish (See Psalm 83). Even Damascus will be utterly destroyed (See Isaiah 17:1-3).

Tensions are high on all of Israel's borders. Bombs are now flying into Israel from the Gaza strip and the Sinai. The bordering nations are armed to the teeth and aiming directly into the major population hubs of Israel. What will it take to set off this explosive "powder keg" of war to destroy Israel and Jerusalem? It will indeed happen according to God's timing. Could that be just around the corner? You've got to wonder.

Be ready and watchful

Consider the Parable of the Ten Virgins in Matthew 25:1-13:

“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

In the parable of the wise and foolish virgins, we realize that God passes by followers who merely profess faith but are not Spirit-led. This calls for self-examination to test ourselves to see if we really "possess" the faith we profess. John 1 was written to provide readers with some of the major tests of faith and fellowship with God.

Are you more wrapped up with the cares of this world than you are with your relationship with Jesus Christ? Are you holding onto sin? Do you love the ways of the world? If you answered yes to any of these questions, go back to the place of the "cross" in your mind and in your heart, where Jesus paid all of your sin debt in full. Remember your first love, Jesus Christ, and how far you've fallen away from Him. Repent and seek His presence in all your life.

Jesus wants real followers, not those who merely hear the Word but never practice it. Where do you stand. The days are short. The time is at hand. If you don't belong to Christ, you will be left behind at the rapture. There is no guarantee at that point that you will return to Him because it could cost your life to do so. Make your commitment to Him now, while there is still time (perhaps only 29 days).

"O Lord, I want to be like to wise virgin, having trimmed my lamp with the oil of the Holy Spirit. If I have ignored this, I pray for forgiveness. Place in me a heart that is zealous for You. Remove from me the worries, ambitions, and cares for this World. For this world and its evil ways are perishing. But Your Spirit seals me unto the day or redemption. As Paul said, may all that I used to care about now be rubbish, and may I be found in Christ. Thank You for Your amazing grace. In Jesus' name I lift up this prayer, Amen."

Parable of the Fig Tree

There are 30 days left before Rosh Hashanah!

Does the parable of the fig tree point to the time of the rapture or possibly His Second Coming? In Matthew 24:32-34, we read:

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

This statement from Jesus' has been interpreted in every possible way. Almost every commentator has a different twist in how to understand Jesus words. The fig tree is generally understood to refer to Israel. In the statement, "when you see all these thing", Jesus seems to refer to all the signs prophecied in the earlier verses (4-29).

The difficulty comes in interpreting which generation is being mentioned. Is it the generation that was alive when Jesus spoke this parable? Or is it the generation that began when the nation was reborn in 1948 or when Jerusalem was captured in 1967?

Another difficulty arises about the time length of the generation. A case can be made for 40 years, 60 years, 70 years, 80 years, or the average life span of our present day generation. As you can see, a case can be made for many starting and ending dates based on the various assumptions made. Therefore, I resist using this parable to point to any particular time for the Second Coming.

Nonetheless, I take comfort that God has fulfilled, at least in part, Ezekiel's dry bones prophecy and brought the people of Israel back together again from having been dispersed throughout the nations. Based on all the evidence around us, it would be very hard to think we are not in living in the generation Jesus Christ was speaking about.

I believe the major point of the passage, however, is that we can be assured that when all these signs occur, Jesus will come again, defeat his enemies, judge the nations, and reign on earth for a thousand years.

This parable will be of utmost importance to the tribulation saints and the Jews in the time of tribulation. They will need assurance that the time of their intense persecution will be short. This parable will give them that assurance.

Living Expectantly

Have you prayed for something sincerely and when God blessed you with what you had asked for, you were actually surprised. Sometimes I'm amazed God answers our prayers when the don't seem to be deeply rooted in faith towards what's being asked.

James 1:6-7 says "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do."

So what does believing and not doubting look like in our lives? I'm always reminded of the wonderful faith exhibited by Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego. Faced with the option of bowing down to worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadezzar had set up, which clearly violated God's commandment, or be thrown into the fiery furnace that would have surely meant instant death for them, they obeyed God and faced the human consequences.

They told the King in Daniel 3:16-18:

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Their response to the King showed that they were: 1) confident in God's sovereign power over their circumstances, 2) confident in God's active love and goodwill towards them, and 3) regardless of what God chooses to do, He is completely worthy to be obeyed. They were living expectantly. They knew they were in the presence of God. They knew God reigns supreme even over the greatest King on the earth.

God chose to save them through the fiery furnance trial they experienced. In the end, God's name was revered throughout the kingdom and the three men of God were promoted in the land of Babylon.

Are you expecting to see God act in your life and among the nations? Do you see his invisible but powerful hand at work? That's the life of faith, and the Bible says the righteous shall live by faith.

Proven Pinpoint Prophetic Accuracy

There are 31 days left to Rosh Hashanah!

One of the major proofs that God gives us of the inspiration and infallibility of Scripture is the pinpoint accuracy of very specific prophecies fulfilled hundreds or thousands of years after they were spoken by God's prophets. Once we are convinced of the trustworthiness of Scripture and God's purpose of revealing the future beforehand, we'll be ready to search the Scripture for clues to the unfulfilled prophecies in our future.

In Daniel 9:24-26, the angel, Gabriel, appeared to Daniel and spoke about the future of the coming of the "Annointed One, the ruler":

“Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

“Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing.

According to research done by Sir Robert Anderson (1841-1918) and refined by Gavin Finley, the seven "sevens" and sixty-two "sevens" represent sixty-nine years (483 Jewish years of 360 days which equal 173,880 days or 476 years and 25 days in the Julian calendar years of 365.25 days). This fits in within 99.999% accuracy with the historical record from when King Artaxerses issued his decree in Nisan 2 or 3 (March 16 or 17)445 BC (Nehemiah 2:1) to rebuild Jerusalem to Palm Sunday on Nisan 10 (April 9 or 10) 32 AD when Jesus was presented to Israel as her Messiah.

Another remarkable Old Testament prophecy points to the day Israel was reborn as a nation on May 15, 1948. The prophet Ezekiel was told by God to first lay on his left side for 390 days to bear the sin of the northern 10 tribes of "Israel" for the number of years of their sin. Then he was told to lay on his right side for 40 days to bear the sin of the southern 2 tribes of "Judah" for the number of years of their sin. So the total number of years of God's judgment was to be 430 years (390+40).

Since Israel was exiled to Babylon for 70 years in judgment for her sin, 360 years of judgment remained (430-70). This perplexed Biblical scholars for some time until it was realized that passages in Leviticus 26:18,21,27-28,33) spoke about God using a factor of seven times for serious judgment. Seven times 360 prophetic years = 2,500 years x 360 days per prophetic year = 907,200 days or 2,483.78 Julian calendar years (907,200/365.25).

Israel experiended 70 years of judgment beginning in 606 BC when Israel was take into captivity in Babylon and lasted until 536 BC. If you add 2,483 remaining years and add 1 additional year since there is no 0 BC or 0 AD, the end of the judgment against the nation of Israel ends 1948 AD, the year Israel was reborn as a nation.

These two examples of mathematical precision in the pages of Scripture should convince us that we can trust the accuracy and Divine authority of Scripture. God reveals his plans and purposes in the Bible. He expects us to know the times we are in.

Are you ready for His return?

Another barrier to the truth - Persecution

Persecution for the truth can take on many forms. It may be in the form of social stigma such as ridicule or isolation. It may cost us our job, our home, and even our family relationships. In some countries and cultures, it may cost us our life.

I recently heard a good analogy. If someone would shine a flashlight on you in a dark room while you are asleep, you would probably have some anger against that person. People who want to live their lives undisturbed by God's call to repent, get upset when the flashlight of truth shines on their life. (See John 3::19-20). However, if someone is lost in the dark, they would welcome the light because it will show them where they are and where to go. People who are truly seeking truth love the light of Scripture because it reveals how sinful mankind can be reconciled to a Holy God.

If you are the flashlight bearer, you will have different reactions from people depending on whether they want to remain "asleep" or they are "lost". Don't let the rejection of those who are "asleep" determine whether or not you shine the light of God's truth.

An Interesting "Coincidence"?

The festivals of the Lord reveal the nature and sequential timing of God's redemptive work. The Great Pyramid pinpoints the year of the Messiahs' Second Coming, and indirectly the year of His return. The three astonomical signs seem to further confirm the year and the day of His return and a sigificant event in the life of Israel. By themselves, these signs should be significant enough to cause us to watch carefully and be ready for His return, which may only be 32 days away.

Although most Christians will agree that chapter and verse numbers are not considered inspired by God like the original writings, it is interesting to note that there might be hints about the month, day, and year of the rapture based on chapter and verse of a couple of related verses. Consider, for example, the following verses about Elijah found in 2 Kings 2:9-11:

When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied. “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.” As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

Could the verses 9-11 be an indication that, like Elijah, we too may go up to heaven in September 2011, or even the 29th day of 2011 (Rosh Hashanah) when you add the chapter number to the verses? As you ponder that possibility, cosider the verses in Acts 1:9-11 that recount the Lord ascending into heaven:

After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

Again, the verses related to Jesus be taken up to heaven are also in 9-11. Is this merely coincidence or is this also an indication of the month and year the Lord will return?

Another Barrier to Truth - Lack of Humility

How can humility be a barrier to truth? Sometimes when something doesn't seem right or reasonable we trust our own instincts rather than humbly admit to our own limited understanding. The Lord reminds us of our limitations when it comes to the matters of God.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

In order to fit everything into our own pattern of thinking, we can go to great lengths to rewrite Scripture. Some will completely ignore the Old Testament because the character of God presented there can seem harsh compared to the God of grace that we more easily see in the New Testament. Some people only read the red letters (Jesus' words) and ignore the rest. Others choose from Scipture what they want to believe and can't bring themselves to believe the entire Bible is not only inspired by God but also without error. Still others redefine hard words and concepts in such a way that will fit nicely withing their established beliefs.

When we make Scripture fit our needs rather than letting it speak for itself, we are letting our own pride interfere with gaining knowledge. The way of humility, which is always the higher road to take, admits to our finite understanding and submits to God's higher ways and thoughts. In my experience, when we accept the truths presented in Scripture even when it doesn't feel right to us, God will reward our humility and eventually enlighten our heart.

There are 33 days to Rosh Hashanah!

Previously, I wrote about the astronomical sign of solar eclipses in 2008, 2009, and 2010 that occured on the Jewish day that marks times of mourning. This extremely rare event appears to be God's warning and countdown to the year 2011 as the year for the next major prophetical event -- the rapture. This would also confirm the year of the rapture I calculated by studying the clues found in the construction of the Great Pyramid.

In the last blog entry, I wrote about the "great sign in heaven" (see Revelation 12) and how, between 2008-2015, the sun, moon, the Morning Star (Venus), and constellation Virgo appear as written in Scripture only in 2011 and only on the day of Rosh Hashanah. This sign further reinforces my belief that our Lord's return for His people may only be 33 days away.

The final astronomical sign I want to cover is the tetrad (four) of blood moons that occur on Passover and Tabernacles in two consecutive years. But before I start, let's remember that even before Satan perverted the study of the heavens with astrology, God used various heavenly signs to convey important messages to mankind.

The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. (Joel 2:31)

I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord. (Acts 2:19-20)

Much of what I'll be explaining was from research done by Mark Blitz of El Shaddai Ministries. If you want more in depth study of this topic, I would recommend you visit their website.

In Jewish history, God seems to leave his "fingerprints" in heaven to reveal some of His major work on behalf of His people. At least one such fingerprint He uses is a series of four "blood moons". (Lunar eclipses can appear reddish when the earth casts its shadow on the moon.) Historically, when there have been blood moons on the first and last Jewish festival (Passover and Sukkot) in two back-to-back years, it has followed a major blessing on Israel.

On August 3, 1492, the Jews were expelled from Spain. The Spanish Inquisition soon followed. However the day before on August 2, Christopher Columbus gathered a group of Jews and escaped the persecution as he set sail that night. A tetrad of blood moons on Passover and Sukkot appeared the next two years.

In May 1948, the nation of Israel was reborn in a single day. By all accounts this was extraordinary. A tetrad of blood moons on Passover and Sukkot in 1949 and 1950 appeared. On June 6, 1967, Israel captured Jerusalem in the six day war, and a tetrad of blood moons on Passover and Sukkot appeared in 1967 and 1968.

The next tetrad of blood moons will appear on Passover and Sukkot in 1914 and 1915, indicating something extraordinay is about to happen in 2013 or 2014, assuming the pattern above repeats itself. Researchers indicate that a tetrad of blood moons on these festival days will not occur again this century and perhaps not for hundreds of years.

So what major happening could this next tetrad emphasize. There are some who believe it will mark the mid-point of the seven year tribulation. Based on what I have learned so far, I think it could be God's fingerprints that he leaves when he miraculously rescues Israel from the inevitable annilation from her enemies near the beginning of tribulation. The following is from Psalm 83:

1 O God, do not remain silent;
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,
how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”

5 With one mind they plot together;
they form an alliance against you—
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Even Assyria has joined them
to reinforce Lot’s descendants.[b]

9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 who perished at Endor
and became like dung on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, “Let us take possession
of the pasturelands of God.”

13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God,
like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest
or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cover their faces with shame, LORD,
so that they will seek your name.

17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed;
may they perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD—
that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

As I speculate about this, I believe that this unfulfilled prophecy could take place before the seven years of tribulation and could provide the reason that the beast (antichrist) will enter into a seven-year peace treaty with Israel. If this is right, it would also fit into the time frame of the rapture in 2011 and the tribulation period beginning in mid-2013. There are a lot of possibilities here. What do you think?

Another Barrier to Truth: False Beliefs

There is a lot said in the Bible about danger of false beliefs. In a misguided way, we may believe that it really doesn't matter what you believe as long as believe somthing. That viewpoint is opposite what God's Word says.

The Apostle Paul told the Galatians that if anybody is preaching to them a gospel other than what they had accepted, let him be eternally condemned (Galatians 1:9). These are strong words but only examples of the seriousness God gives to the truth. Speaking about the Jews, he also said, "Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can tesify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge".(Romans 10:1-2)

In his second epistle, the Apostle John also had strong words about departing from the teaching of Christ:

Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work. (2 John 9-11)

Those who question the whole truth of the Bible, including the exclusive claims of Jesus Christ, are subject to the dangers of false beliefs. Jesus taught us to follow the narrow way that leads to life, not the broad way that leads to destruction.

Have you embraced God's grace? The Bible says we are saved by grace through faith in Christ, not by works. We cannot do anything to earn God's grace. Grace is a free gift, and it must be accepted as such. Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord? If not, you can settle your eternal destiny right now. Just admit your sinfulness, ask Him to forgive you and come into your life as Lord. The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9).

If the Spirit is convicting you that this is true, don't refuse to love the truth. There is not better time than now to get your eternal affairs in order.

The Woman Clothed with the Sun - Revelation 12

34 days left until Rosh Hashanah!

In the last blog entry, I wrote about the solar eclipses occuring in Jerusalem on the same Jewish calendar day, Nissan 1, in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Nissan 1 is known to the Jews as the beginning of the time of sorrows. It is as if God is counting down until the next major event in the prophetic calendar, Rosh Hashanah (The Day of Judgment). One researcher wrote that the last time anything close to this had happened before was before Christ was crucified. The solar eclipse did not occur again on Nissan 1 of this year, which would seem to indicate that this is the year that God's warning is pointing.

In Chapter 12-14 in Revelation, the great actors of the tribulation are introduced. The first actor mentioned is the Woman.

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. (Revelation 1:1-2)

Many commentators believe this sign refers to Israel, who gave birth to the Messiah through the Virgin Mary. It says in verse 5, birth was given to a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. This clearly points to the reign of Jesus Christ during the millenium.

The great sign in heaven reminds us of the dream Joseph had in Genesis 37:9-11, when he dreamed of the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowing down to his. His father Jacob (who God renamed Israel) asked if Joseph's mother and he, along with Joseph's brothers, would really bow down to Joseph? This is another confirmation that the great sign in heaven symbolizes Israel, who gave birth to the Lord and will continue to be pursued by the dragon (Satan).

As we look to the sky, twelve constellations reveal the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The first of these constellations is Virgo, which represents the Woman and the Virgin Mary, who gave birth to Messiah Jesus.

Each year around the time of Rosh Hashanah, Virgo and the sun are in close proximity to each other. However on Rosh Hashanah 2011 (September 29), the sun is touching the upper arm of Virgo, and the moon is close to the feet of Virgo. At least part of the great sign in heaven will be complete on this day. As you move either a day or two before or after this date, the moon changes its position relative to Virgo's feet and the picture is not complete. As you look to the position of the sun and moon relative to Virgo on Rosh Hashanah 2008 thru 2015, there are only two other years (2008 and 2014) besides 2011 where the sun touches or nearly touches Virgo. In neither of these years, however, is the moon located near the feet of Virgo. (This is easily verified by downloading a free copy of Stellarium.)

In Revelation 22:16, Jesus calls Himself the bright Morning Star, which most likely refers astronomicaly to the planet of Venus. A look at the constellation Virgo on September 29, 2011 reveals that Venus is located between Virgo's left wrist and her hip in an artistic rendering of the constellation. But in the stick figure of Virgo, Venus is located within the belly area of Virgo, which is where you would expect to find it if Virgo was pregnant with the Christ child. A look at Virgo on Rosh Hashanah 2008 thru 2015 reveals that 2011 is the only year where Venus is even touching Virgo.

This completes the picture of the woman clothed with the sun, with the moon near her feet, and pregnant with the Christ the male child. The only missing part of the picture is the crown of twelve stars. The astronomer, Professor Thorley, has shown that there are exactly twelve stars surrounding the head of Virgo as we view them from the earth.

To summarize, Rosh Hashana in the current year 2011 appears to be the only time from 2008 to 2015 where the great sign in heaven mentioned in Revelation 12 is complete in the view of the constellation Virgo from Jerusalem. Could this be signaling the return of the Lord for the rapture and the march towards the time of Jacob's (Israel's) trouble?

There are 35 days left to Rosh Hashanah!

In the last few blog entries, I stated the reasons I believe the rapture of the Church will occur on Rosh Hashanah, and also why I believe there are indications from the Great Pyramid that it could take place in 2011.

Now, I would like to describe other signs that independently arrive at the same conclusion to add to the body of evidence. Over the next few blog entries, I would like to discuss three astronomical signs that all seem to point to 2011 as the time for the Lord's return. According to Numbers in the Bible by Robert D. Johnston, the number 3, while denoting Divine manifestation, or Divine perfection, is also the symbol or resurrection.

Besides presenting three astronomical signs, the first of these signs is a series of three warnings. Each year (2008, 2009, & 2010) leading up to 2011, there has been a solar eclipse in Jerusalem on the same Hebrew calendar day, Av 1. Although they fell on different days of our calendar (8/1/08, 7/22/09, and 7/11/10), all three solar eclipses occured on the exact same day of the Jewish calendar.

Av 1 is a significant time to Jews. It is known as the "beginning of the time of sorrows", that culiminates on Av 9. Beginning the month before, on Tammuz 17, and lasting until Av 9 is a 3-week time of mourning and sorrow. From Av 1 to Av 9 is time called the nine days. The Talmud says that “From the beginning of Av, we diminish happiness” (Mishnah Ta’anit 4:6). It was on the 9th of Av that the temple built by Solomon was destroyed when Babylon sacked Jerusalem in 1586 BC and the second temple was destroyed during the Roman siege of Jerusalem in 70 AD. It was also on the 9th of Av that the Jews were expelled from England in 1290 AD, and in 1492 the Jews were expelled from Spain by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. What better time could God give the Jews a warning from the sky but during this time of mourning and sorrow?

Solar eclipses are considered by some to be warnings from God. This sequence of THREE warnings, not repeated in 2011, could be used by God to stress the importance of the impending resurrection (Rosh Hashanah) event that would soon be here. The three consecutive year countdown began in 2008. Was the warning pointing to this year? Both Jews and Gentiles that don't accept Jesus as their Messiah will be forced to go through the tribulation. I believe God is warning us that something very significant is just about to occur. Could that be only 35 days away on Rosh Hashanah?

Tearing Down Barriers to Truth - Preferences

How often do we want something to be true so we look for reasons that confirm what we want to be true. Alternatively, there are things we would rather not hear, believe, or know. For example, I know I should lose some weight. But as long as I don't get on the scales, I can be quite happy in the denial of the problem.

Sometimes when we read the Bible, there may be some difficult teachings that just strike us the wrong way. God says his ways are not like our ways and his thoughts are not like our thoughts. But when we come across something we don't agree with, we often find ways to "synthesize" it with our own belief systems. For example, who hasn't wrestled with the notion of election and predestination?

In the area of prophecy, many Christians are ready for the Lord to return right away. If we're not careful, we can read so well between the lines of Scripture that we see signs that are not really there. I have to be careful not to do this myself. On the other hand, there are other Christians that are satisfied with their lives and don't want to seriously consider the signs that indicate His coming is near. They are very apt to say that even Jesus said He didn't know the day or hour of His return so how could anyone else know anymore. In both cases, we can avoid the truth by reinforcing what we want the truth to be instead of pursuing the truth no matter how if feels to us and fits our preferences.

We can know we are leaning on our "truth" preferences when we have certain topics that have become "out-of-bound" areas for us. The Bible is clear that God wants us to love the truth. The truth is always good. When we have trouble with the truth, it's not because it needs to be changed, it's because we need to be changed.

O Lord, have I lost any passion for the truth? Search me and change me into a child of Yours that is zealous for knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. And Lord, please help me know the responsibility I have with the wisdom You bestow. Finally, O Lord, give me the will, courage, and boldness to do everything you call me to do in love. The Great Pyramid's Prophetic Map

Over the last three blog posts, I wrote that the seven festivals of the Lord are intended to look back in history to significant events that are a shadow of major things to come and also point to spiritual realities. The next unfulfilled event is Rosh Hashanah which points to the time when Jesus Christ comes back for His people. The dead in Christ are risen to be with the Lord and those who are alive in Christ are raptured.

Following this spectacular event in heaven is the Judgment Seat of Christ when Christians are judged for their works for the purpose of receiving their rewards. In addition, the coronation of Jesus, the Messiah, as King will happen, and the marriage of the resurrected and raptured bride to Christ will be consummated.

In the meantime, on earth, those who were not taken up to be with Christ will go through a terrible time known as the tribulation. At the end of this time, Christ will return with His bride to reign on earth for a thousand years.

So at this point, we can say that the rapture should occur sometime during the two-day Rosh Hashanah festival. However, is there any way to pinpoint which Rosh Hashanah year the Lord return for His bride? One of several signs that helps to do just that comes from the Great Pyramid in Egyt.

In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the LORD at its border. It will be a sign and witness to the LORD Almighty in the land of Egypt. (Isaiah 19:19-20)

In the midst of Egypt, on the westside of the River Nile, stands the only remaining one of the Seven Wonders of the World - The Great Pyramid. It was the first pyramid built, the largest, and was a pattern for the other pyramids to follow. Unlike the others, however, it never served as a tomb. It's construction reveals such an advanced knowledge of mathematics, astronomy, and Scriptural information that it's architect and builder had to have divine wisdom. Although nobody knows, some have speculated that the Pyramid may have been built by Job, Noah, Enoch, or perhaps even Melchizadek.

The entryway from the outside of the Pyramid descends through a passageway that ends about 100 feet below the base of the Pyramid. As you descend about 357 pyramid inches (P")down the passageway, there are scorings on the walls. From the scorings continuing down the passageway to the intersection of an ascending passageway is a distance of 628 P". Traveling to the end of the ascending passageway to the opening that enters into a large ascending hall, known as the Grand Gallery, covers a distance of 1,543.5 P".

If the distance of one P" prophetically represents 1 year, and the end of the narrow ascending passageway represents the year of our Lord's death in the spring of 33 AD, then the date of the markings in the descending passageway is 2140 BC. Researchers have concluded that 2140 BC is also the year when the apex of the pyramid pointed directly to Alcyone, a notable star of the Pleiades group, a symbol of God and the center of the universe. And at the very same time, the Alpha Draconis, the chief star of the Dragon constellation, a symbol of sin and Satan, shone down the central axis of the Descending Passage at midnight of the autumnal equinox. Therefore, it is believed that the construction of the pyramid was completed in the year 2140BC.

At the end of the ascending Grand Gallery, that extends 1,881.2 P", there is a 3' vertical Great Step that leads to another 61.6266 P" before the end of the Grand Gallery. (It was discovered that the key to translating P" to years in the Grand Gallery is 1 P" = 360 days rather than 1 P" = 365.25 days. Therefore 1,881.2223 P" = 1,854.2209 years.) So if you add 1,854.2209 years plus 61.6266 years from the Grand Gallery starting point (32.477 AD), you arrive at the end of the Grand Gallery on 1948.3245 AD (April/May 1948 AD), which is also the time Israel became a nation once again.

Beyond the Grand Gallery, is a small, 52.0287 P" tunnel that leads to the Ante Chamber, which advances the calendar to May 2000 (1948.3245+52.0289 = 2000.35324) It was at this time that the earth, moon, sun, and planets were lined up).

Another 13.22729 P" inside the opening of the Ante Chamber marks the change from a limestone foundation (man's rule?) to a granite foundation (God's rule?), which would lead to the summer of 2013 AD. From this point, 7 P" further marks the point in which a Granite Leaf (Christ the King?) hangs down from above.

At this point, the distance to time scale seems to change as indicated by a symbolic image on the Granite Leaf. The Ante Chamber extends another 81 P" beyond the 15 P" Granite Leaf, followed by a 101 P" tunnel that leads into the King's Chamber.

Assuming the beginning of the granite foundation is the beginning of the seven years of tribulation, which ends at the second coming of Jesus Christ to reign on earth, as represented by the Granite Leaf, then the tribulation period would extend from the summer of 2013 to 2020. This would mean that Christ could come to reign on the earth on Yom Kippur 2020 AD.

The rapture could then be expected to take place the same number of years prior to 2020 as there are days between Rosh Hashanah (Tishrei 1) and Yom Kippur (Tishrei 10). Since Yom Kippur is 9 days after Tishrei 1, the rapture would be expected to take place on Rosh Hashanah 2011, which is approximately September 29.

Rosh Hashanah: Our Day of Hope

The first fall festival is Rosh Hashanah and has not yet been prophetically fulfilled. Rosh Hashanah is a two-day feast that begins on Tishrei 1. In 2011, the festival begins the evening of Wednesday, September 28 and ends on the evening of Friday, September 30.

The Hebrew word "Rosh" means "chief", and the word "Shanah" is translated "year". It is the first day of the Jewish civil calendar. This day is known as the birthday of the world, the day Adam was created by God.

Just as we have several names for the same holiday, the Jews have several different names for Rosh Hashanah.

The Day of Judgment (Yom HaDin)
This is the day that the whole world is judged, and those who are deemed righteous (clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ by faith) will escape the terrible time of tribulation facing the rest of the world.

Feast of Trumpets - Day of the Awakening Blast (Yom Teruah)
On Rosh Hashanah, it is important to hear the blast of the shofar, or ram's horn (the last trumpet), which will awaken both the dead in Christ and those who are alive in Him to rise up and meet the Lord in the air. (See 1 Corinthians 4:15-18).

Some other names identified with Rosh Hashanah include: the Coronation of the Messiah (Ha Melech)in heaven, the time of Jacob's trouble (tribulation period) on earth, and the wedding ceremony in heaven when the bridegroom, Jesus Christ, comes for His bride, the Church (see Matthew 25:6), and the Hidden Day.

Rosh Hashanah is the one festival in the year known as the long day. Since it was a new moon festival, it was determined that it could take two days to confirm exactly when the moon would appear so the festival date could be confirmed. As a result, this festival also became known as the day on which no one knows the day or the hour. So when Jesus made this statement as He spoke of His return, the typical Jewish listener probably associated His statement with the festival of Rosh Hashanah. Based on Jesus' other statements, it's clear Jesus was not saying we should not be watching and be alert for His return. In fact he gave us many signs to look for so we would know the times when they appeared.

It is clear that God wants to remove His people from the world before the seven years of tribulation spoken about in Daniel 9:27 (see 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Luke 21:36, and Revelation 3:10). The purpose of the tribulation period is not to test Christians. It is designed to test both the Jews and Gentiles who do not belong to Christ on the Day of Judgment (Rosh Hashana). Those who must go through the tribulation will find themselves in the Days of Awe, where God's judgments are poured out on the world. These judgments are well described in Revelation.

Since the next festival of the year, Yom Kippur, represents the second coming of Christ in glory and power to destroy His enemies and reign for the next thousand years, the time period in between the two festivals must include the seven year tribulation period.

The Significance of the Fall Festivals

In the previous post, I wrote that the spring festivals were prophetically fulfilled by Jesus' death (Passover), burial (Festival of Unleavened Bread), resurrection (Festival of First Fruits), and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost).

After the spring feasts, there is a long summer period representing the church age, which is followed by Rosh Hashanah on the first day of the seventh month of the religious calendar (Tishrei 1), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)on the tenth day of the seventh month of the religious calendar (Tishrei 10), and Sukkot (The Feast of Tabernacles or "Booths")which lasts for seven days from the Tishrei 15 to Tishrei 21.

These fall festivals will be fulfilled by the second coming of Jesus Christ. Historically, Rosh Hashanah marked the Jewish new year on the civil calendar. During the entire preceding month of Elul, Jews were instructed to examine themselves and repent before Rosh Hashanah, which ushers in the ten High Holy Days or Awesome Days leading to Yom Kippur.

Rosh Hashanah will be fulfilled by Jesus Christ when He returns and those who died with faith in Christ are risen from the dead and those who are alive and have faith in Christ are raptured to be with Him forever (1 Corinthians 15:50-55). Rosh Hashanah is also known as the Feast of Trumpets. Spiritually, this festival points to our hearing the call of God for our lives.

On Yom Kippur, the high priest of Israel would enter the Holy of Holies in the Temple to make atonement for the sins of the people of Israel. This would only be done once each year. Prophetically, this festival will be fulfilled on the day of Jesus' second coming when all of Israel will be saved (Romans 11:25-27). Spiritually, this festival points to our yielding to God so we may live in His presence.

Sukkot(Feast of Tabernacles)reminds us of Israel's entering the promised land. It will be prophetically fulfilled when Jesus reigns on earth for a millenium. Spiritually, it speaks about our rest in Jesus Christ and His kingdom in our hearts.

Since Christians are expected to be raptured on Rosh Hashanah, they will be in heaven with Jesus Christ when the rest of the world is experiencing the ten Days of Awe. These days may actually represent years and include the seven years of tribulation that are meant to judge the nations and the Jews. Those who survive and have been judged to be faithful to God, will enter alive into the rest of His millenial kingdom. But those who follow the world leader (the beast), will be killed or destroyed.

The next blog posting will describe Rosh Hashanah in more depth since it is the Christian's hope to escape the severe judgment of the Days of Awe.

Barriers to Truth - Apathy

Apathy will be a barrier to truth if you allow other matters of life to become more important than truth. Truth can be incovenient when it threatens to interrupt our way of living. We pay little attention to truth when we don't see the value of truth and we let other cares and interests of life to crowd out our search for the truth.

Apathy expresses the attitude that I have more important things to think, do, or say.

We can overcome apathy by learning the importance God places on our embracing the truth. Our eternal destinies depend on us knowing and trusting the truth for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. If we don't know the truth about the person and work of Jesus Christ, then how can we believe. And if we don't believe, we will die in our sins and spend eternity in the lake of fire.

Seven Festivals of the Lord

39 days left before Rosh Hashanah!

Rosh Hashanah is the 5th of 7 annual festivals of the Lord. The first 4 festivals are in the spring and the last 3 festivals are in the fall.

Since the festivals have an historical context, a fulfillment by Jesus Christ, and a spiritual application, they are important to both Jews and Gentiles alike.

Passover (Exodus 12:1-23, Leviticus 23:4-5, Deuteronomy 16:1-3) is the first of the annual feasts. It is a reminder of the final plague of Egypt when the firstborn of the Egyptians died and the Israelites were spared because of the blood of the slain lamb that was smeared of their doorposts. This festival was prophetically fulfilled by the crucifixion of the Messiah (Jesus Christ), who is the Lamb of the World. Spiritually, this festival calls us to repent and trust by faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Passover is held on the 14th day of the Jewish month of Nisan, the 1st month of the religious calendar. On the 15th to 21st day of Nisan is the feast of unleavened bread. Historically, this festival reminds us of the Israelites journey away from Egypt because they were told to take with them unleavened bread because they would have to leave in haste. Prophetically, this feast was fulfilled by the burial of Jesus Christ. Spiritually, the feast signifies our being sanctified and separated from evil as illustrated by our immersion in the waters of baptism.

The feast of firstfruits points historically to the crossing of the Red Sea. The feast is celebrated on the 17th day of Nisan. Prophetically, the feast is fulfilled by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Spiritually, the feast represents our living in newness of life.

Fifty days after Passover is the festival of Pentecost. This festival looks back historically to the giving of the law on Mt. Sinai. It was fulfilled prophetically, when the Holy Spirit was poured out 50 days after Christ was crucified. The feast spiritually signifies being immersed in the Holy Spirit and growing in our faith in God.

All of the spring feasts have been fulfilled by the Lord, but the remaining 3 fall feasts have yet to be fulfilled. But just as the spring feasts pointed to key aspects of God's redemptive plan, so do the fall feasts. Jesus died on Passover (at the ninth hour - 3:00 pm)and the promised Holy Spirit was poured out on Pentecost. The fall feasts also point to specific times and seasons when God's redemptive plan will be continued to completion.

Truth can be bittersweet.

The Bible sometimes describes revelation as sweet as honey in the mouth, but once eaten, it turns the stomach sour. Although God is entirely victorious in the end, His victory means that mankind must experience great wrath, judgment, and suffering in the meantime.

Over the next few days I want to discuss the important matter of loving truth. Followers of the Lord are characterized as lovers of the truth. In John 14:6, Jesus
anwered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

In contrast, those who reject Jesus resist the truth. In Jesus' conversation with Nichodemus, Jesus said "This is the verdict, Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed". (See John 3:19-20).

God's wrath is revealed against all godlessness and wickedness of man who suppress the truth by their wickedness. (See Romans 1:18). Consequently, the man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. (See 1 Corinthians 2:14.)

Do you love the truth, wherever it may lead? If not, its time to repent.

O Lord, You are the way and truth and the life! Help me to love you deeper for being everything I need. Search my heart, God, and help me to seek you in Spirit and in Truth with zeal. Help me to love the truth, no matter what the cost. For this pleases You.

Forty Days to Rosh Hashanah

So why should we be concerned about Rosh Hashanah, one of several Jewish feasts? What possible impact could that have on my life? The purpose of this blog is to help you answer that question. In fact, it could be one of the most important blogs you ever read.

This is a blog about God's plans concerning mankind and His timetable concerning those plans. In other words, it's about biblical prophecy. God reveals both directly and indirectly what He plans to do.

The next major prophetic event will be the rapture. The rapture refers to God taking Christians instantaneously out of the world. (Read 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, John 14:1-3, and 1 Corinthians 15:51-52.)

Based on a literal interpretation of Revelation, the rapture will precede the seven years of tribulation. Following the tribulation period, Jesus Christ will return to earth in all His glory along with His saints, and He will defeat His enemies and set up a millenial (1000-year) Kingdom on earth.

So when is this going to begin? God has laid out enough clues through Scripture, world events, astronomical signs, and other means for us to know the signs of His coming.

Over the next 40 days, I intend to describe the signs that have persuaded me that the Lord's return for His church is not only near but may only be 40 days away on the festival of Rosh Hashanah, a 2-day festival that begins the evening of September 28 and ends two days later on the evening of September 30.

My own purpose for writing this blog is to remind myself and other believers of the solemn times we are living. We need to be as serious as ever about our faith and living life fully for Jesus. Let's not be half-hearted followers of the Lord. The Lord had a stern warning for us in Luke 21: 34-37. The warning is for us to watch ourselves and stay awake (spiritually aware) so we aren't caught off-guard and swept away.

I also want to spend the next 40 days in earnest prayer and I would like to see many readers of this blog do the same. I hope to give you prayer suggestions, which are pertinent to the times we are living.

Finally, I would like to have written sufficient truth over the next 40 days that anyone who finds himself left behind after the rapture takes place can get a Biblical perspective about what really happened to help impact their life choices during the tribulation. There will be many lies told about why so many people were taken away, and getting to the real truth could prove to be difficult.

This will be an exciting journey and one in which I hope you will join me.
